Omron HN 286 Ultra Thin Automatic Personal Digital Weight Scale with Large LCD Display and 4 Sensor Technology for Accurate Weight Measurement

Excellent product. I had used a digital scale earlier and this one is far better and user friendly. First of all, five stars to the machine - it's sleek, stylish, display is crisp, weighs accurately and above all one feature stands out - it's ability to display the weight after you step down and freedom from tapping before stepping on. Great product from Omron. Thanks to amazon for selling at a reasonable price and promptly delivering the product. Only one complaint I have, it is about the delivery mechanism. Amazon informs that package is out for delivery. But they don't contact you before coming and delivering the product. The delivery guy reached my flat when I was out; he could have given a call before coming. He says it is not in their SOP. Should we wait all the time at the address, once amazon informs us that the product is out for delivery? Of course, I don't rate the product or overall amazon experience with this one bad aspect, hence the five stars.

Weighing machine is excellent i would recommend the same to everyone

Good product. I read complaints about it giving inconsistent readings but after experimenting with it I'm quite sure that it gives consistent measurements. Just make sure of two things. First, that the weighing scale is on a flat surface. If you don't have a flat surface, the weighing scale might wobble a bit but you can fix it by placing a coin below one of the wobbling ends to prevent it from wobbling. Secondly, I observed that if you have moved the weighing scale a bit, the first reading after moving the scale tends to be incorrect by 0.5 to 1 KG. After that I weighed myself multiple times in succession and found the results are identical to what I measured before moving the weighing scale. If you have the space, maybe its better to keep the weighing scale in a fixed place and avoid dragging it in and out each time you need to use it.An important point to keep in mind is that your actual weight varies after you eat, drink and use the toilet. If you weigh yourself before and after lunch, your weight will vary and the weighing scale will show you those changes.

I read a lot of reviews and compared a lot of products before finalizing with this one and it definitely serves its purpose! People over here do complain about the weight not being shown properly that the display (ie the weight when the user stand) goes off after 10 secs, it is because the user is not standing properly and he/she is moving his/her feet because of which the weight is not shown properly and the display goes off! It is clearly mentioned in the manual or the instructions that the user should stand properly without moving his/her feet to get the proper weight and when you do that you get the exact weight and it displays it for 16 secs before it turns off. Even the step On/Off functions well as said, one more thing is that you should keep it in a FLAT SURFACE which is like the most important of all!!.I used it many times and all the times the readings were the same with a mere difference of +/- 0.1 kg, the only thing you should keep in mind is that you should stand properly without moving your feet and when you do that BOOM your weight is displayed for 16 secs and after that it turns off automatically!Only thing what I got to tell the people over here who complain that please read the manual or the instructions before you use the product.And not to mention the ONE DAY DELIVERY, its completely amazing!! I ordered the product on 13 May 2014 at 01:00AM and I got the product by 13 May 2014 at 03:00 PM.Thank you Amazon and Zephyr!

I purchased this product @1400rs.Our(me and family) experience of this scale:Pros:From the front side, it is looking premium.LED screen is clearly visible from top.One button cell was provided free with this unit(it saved ₹60 extra!)Cons:Weight measurements:* First day it showed my weight between 91.2 to 92.8kg In multiple trials.* Third day trial. It showed weight between 82.4 to 90.9 kg !!! Such a huge variation right?* All trials were taken on flat leveled surface on my tile constructed floor.* I gone through the manual and found its tolerance is +-0.6kg in my weight range.* Tolerance: 5 to 60kg +-0.3kg, 60 to 100kg +-0.6kg, 100 to 180kg +-1%Back side of scale:* As per photos I uploaded you can see that measuring sensor rest point cables are visible, it can cause short circuit even in humid environment.* In my uploaded video you can see that sensor is moving with just a normal push of my hand. I think this is the reason why it is showing variation in weight.Conclusion:If you can spend more amount than go for higher model of Omron. Do not purchase this for long term use.

PROS:- Max. Body Weight: Up to 180Kg.- Large Display- Auto On/Off, Step on the Scale and it Powers ON. Automatically Powers OFF after ~16 seconds of reading.- Operated by easily available and low cost Coin Battery (CR-2032).- Approved by Indian Weights & Measurement Department.CONS:- The reading differs every time you try it. Sensors need to kep in proper position to get accurate reading.- Very Delicate Battery Compartment Cover.OVERALL:Had compared this Scale with other Weighing Scales available at Amazon and had found it to be the Best. I was not wrong. This model is Highly recommended for purchase. Would have rated it 5 Stars; have rated it 3 Stars because of accuracy issue.TIPS:For accurate reading, place the Scale on a Hard Surface and stand properly. Try to place it at one fixed location, don't move it around too much.
