Decent for the price.
I am impressed with all apart from the depth adjustment mechanism. The worm and wheel do not always mesh together for fine adjustment, but for me this is not a problem as I am happy to do me final depth check using a ruler. Would have been 5 stars otherwise. It has plenty of power and the 6 adjustable speeds option is a great asset. Not experienced any issues with body getting too hot so overall I would recommend it to anyone wanting an inexpensive entry into routering.

all good
As advertised. Arrived in good time. Haven't had time to use it much. but tried it and it works well. Great for art and graft work.

Fairly flimsy
Main unit worked OK but depth sleeve adjustment and metal guides were pretty flimsy so accuracy fairly poor. Despite being quit cheap it is probably worth spending a bit more for a more substantial unit

Alright for hobbyists, but the price shows
We recently took on a few projects around the house that required a router/trimmer, mainly for rounding off the edges of timber for shelves and boxes in the house and shed. After a bit of searching, we settled on this model - it's not a high end model so we were prepared for that.Pros:• Compact, single-hand operated power tool• Adjustable depth control and tracking accessories• Variable speed settingsCons:• Doesn't include router bits• Supplied with an incorrect-sized spanner• Flimsy accessoriesUnboxing ====The router comes neatly packaged in its own plastic carry case, which is really handy for keeping everything together.Inside, you’ll find the router itself, two spanners, a track attachment, and associated bolts. The router also comes with a depth gauge already attached. However, it’s worth noting that it doesn’t come with any actual router bits, which was a bit of a disappointment. To make matters worse, one of the spanners provided was the wrong size. Luckily I had another in my toolbox, so it wasn’t a deal-breaker, but it’s something to be aware of!Setup & Ease of Use ====One of the things I like about this tool is how straightforward it is to set up and use. The depth gauge is adjusted with a toothed pinch bolt. You simply set your desired trimming depth and then tighten a secondary nut to lock the gauge in place. I did notice, though, that tightening the gauge bends the material slightly, which might lead to it weakening over time. The router also includes a tracking attachment for routing straight lines on planks of wood. It bolts onto the router using a wing nut to set the inset of the cut. Unfortunately, the design isn't very secure, and the track arm kept coming loose during use. Adding a rubber washer might solve this issue.Performance ====The speed control is a great feature, allowing you to adjust the speed for different materials easily. This dial-operated feature can be adjusted mid-use, which is convenient. Despite the minor issues, the router worked perfectly for my needs. I’m looking forward to getting more creative with jointing techniques and trying my hand at building cupboards for the shed in the future. For trimming wood down on the edges, it did the job without any issues. However, if you're considering buying this router, just be sure to purchase the bits separately.Verdict ====This router is a solid choice for small-time hobbyists or anyone experimenting with new carpentry techniques. It’s simple to use, but just make sure you’re prepared to buy the necessary bits and possibly a proper spanner separately. For the price, it's not bad, but I would probably invest in something better.
