Safe, durable auto-darkening hood for the budget conscious.
For the value this is a very decent auto-darkening hood. This Lincoln does the trick. I no longer have to worry about blind starts as I did with non-automatic hoods. Light weight.The couple of complaints that I do have. The viewfinder is on the smallish end. But I expected that for the price. I also wish that the dial setting for the darkness clicked instead of a smooth turning motion. Because I find that I've accidentally current the darkness level up a couple of numbers without even realizing it. But if this particular hood had the clicking dial, I think it could avoid that issue all together. Basically, it would allow the user to know if they'd accidentally changed the darkness setting. One last small complaint is the tension knob at the back of the head. I wear scarves and bandanas due to the sweating. And I find that it's a bit difficult to get that snug tightness I want. And I end up going hair bit too loose with getting that snug fit that I want. And I end up having to constantly fiddle with the tension throughout the day because it's slipped off my head.My complaints aren't to say that you shouldn't buy this hood. On the contrary. If you're looking for a budget-friendly auto-darkening hood, this Lincoln Electric is a definite thumbs up.

For the price, it's not bad. No complaints.
Functions as it should probably better as a home model. Easy to adjust. Bought it as a backup. Used it 3 to 4 hrs a day for 4 days and still going strong. Only down side is remembering to pull the batteries.

Great buy for the money.
I had purchased a Yeswelder helmet because of the price. I quickly realized why they were cheap. It kept flashing me and it was very heavy. I returned it and purchased this Lincoln hood. This was a great buy for the price. I have noticed the weight right away. This hood is very light weight and comfortable, great for long term welding. This is a great well made product and I would gladly purchase it again if I had to.
