I haven't used the tool yet, but I did check it out thoroughly. Two things to note: 1. Poorly translated literature clearly states that the unit cannot be returned "if opened or used." Well, howya gonna know if it didn't work if you don't use it, and then it will be too late. 2. The forward/neutral/reverse lever at the business end of the tool is extremely hard to actuate. I was afraid that I was going to break the lever, but it eventually gave in to my efforts. Didn't show any tendency to loosen up after several actuations. This was unexpected, but something to be aware of maybe your experience will be different. Otherwise, it looks as advertised and shown in the many useful videos. I expect it to do the job when I need it. Which may be soon.

My kitchen sink was draining slow and backing up when the other side was used. I did my typical go to, which was vinegar, dish soap, baking soda and rinse with hot water to unclog the drains; however, this trick did not work this time. So I got the Populo electric snake drain and it worked good. We did not want to drill holes into our sink baskets in order to install the end of the snake. So we unscrewed the pipes and while they were still a little gunky after my trick, there was not a clog in them at first look. This meant it had to be in the main pipe drain. We then took the snake and put into that pipe and pulled out a stuck straw and some other gunk. We put everything back together and all has been draining fine since.I am so happy that this cordless snake saved us a call to the plumber, which saved us some money. We are happy about that. We also like that the machine does the work, unlike the crank versions. The toilet attachment is also nifty to have when our toilets back up. The case is heavy duty and handy to put the snake and its attachments in.

Worked great, excellent product

The 1st one of these that I ordered worked fine, EXCEPT that I was unable to remove the drain screw. I left no review on that one specifically. This is the replacement one. Because of my experience with the 1st one, I tried removing the drain screw before using it. The drain screw, again, doesn't come out. The screw simply rotates. I wasn't turning it the wrong way. I will try one more time for a replacement. It that also fails, I will request a refund and give another bad review.

I have only used this auger once and it has already paid for itself. The unit is less than the cost of a plumber visit.I have a bathroom sink drain that clogs (for unknown reasons) annually. I have tried had augers, plungers, chemicals and usually end up calling a plumber, They come with a more professional, heavy duty machine and easily unclog the drain, but at a price.I bought this auger hoping that I could eliminate the plumber visit. I did, and while this is one of those tools that I hope I never have to use, it is definitely cost effective to have.It's easy to use and I would recommend to anyone who is handy around the house.
