Comfortable shop chair
This shop chair, in vibrant color (I got the red one so that it is easy to see in my otherwise dark garage), is very comfortable to sit and half-sit on while at my workbench. It is stable and sturdy once built. The instruction manual is not very good, but I followed the general guideline for assembling these things and it went smoothly. Important things to always not is to not fully tighten anything unless all the pieces are together, this is what gives the wiggle room for tough bolts. The seat bottom had holes put in BEFORE the cover was stretched over, so I needed to find the hidden holes by feel to bolt in the back. I find these to be in the normal range of assembly so while this is not the easiest thing to assemble, I don't believe it was difficult. I actually quite appreciate the details: for example, there is a nut and a bolt of two different socket sizes. I believe this is intentional and helpful, so that folks with a basic toolset won't be stuck because they only have a single 10mm socket, instead they can use a 10mm and a 12mm.My priority is on the final functionality, and for that, this stool scores high. The foot rest bars are at just the right height for both sitting and leaning. The base is wide, stable, and firm, while the cushion is soft but firm. The handle on the backrest makes this easy to move around.

My Favorite Seat in the Whole Garage
This garage stool has officially claimed the title of my favorite seat, even more than my couch. The height adjusts easily and the backrest gives just enough support for long sessions tinkering with tools or pretending I know what I’m doing. The wheels glide smoothly and the seat spins like a dream, which I probably enjoy way more than I should. It feels sturdy enough to hold up through abuse and grease without flinching. I’ve leaned back, scooted, twisted and it hasn’t made a single complaint. It definitely beats kneeling on concrete or sitting on a bucket like a caveman. If you spend any time in a workshop, this thing earns its keep fast.

Solid, but tricky to assemble for non-mechanics
This was a gift for my dad. He likes it, so hooray. My only regret is not choosing a model with a higher back rest for greater comfort when he wants a little break. But the low back rest seemed more practical and nimble for working situations. The assembly instructions are clear, even for an office worker like me, but you need strong hands or special tools to hold the parts together during assemble. It's not easy if you're more used to typing than handling heavy tools. I had to pound one of the parts in place with a towel-covered hammer, which was nerve-wracking. I don't know if that was a manufacturer's flaw or a normal little difference that wouldn't matter to someone with powerful hands. However, once I got all the nuts and blots in place, this stool turned out very study and the moving parts glide along well.Value for money:It's much more solid than comparably priced office stools. If you don't mind words in your furniture it's a good deal.

Freeky-Fit Adjustable Height Swivel Garage Stool – Sturdy Build, Ruined by Poor QC
I had high hopes for the Freeky-Fit Adjustable Height Swivel Garage Stool—it looked comfortable, the metal construction seemed solid, & the adjustable height/swivel features made it a promising addition to my workspace. Unfortunately, poor quality control & misleading assembly instructions turned what could’ve been a great product into a frustrating experience. The metal components of the stool are sturdy & well-built. The frame feels strong, the welds are solid, & the overall construction suggests it could handle the weight & stress of a garage environment. The padded seat, which should be one of the most important parts of the stool, was missing two critical threaded inserts. These are the parts that allow you to attach the backrest, & their absence made it impossible to complete assembly. Worse, this isn’t something you discover until the final step, meaning you’ve already put the entire stool together before realizing it has a major defect. Since this isn’t called out as a part to check in the instructions, you only find out after 98% of the work is done—at which point you have to take the whole thing apart just to return it.If the missing inserts weren’t frustrating enough, the assembly process itself was riddled with issues due to inaccurate part labeling & cheap tools. The large bolts are listed as M8, but in reality, they require an M13 socket for the bolt & an M12 socket for the nut. This means you need two different socket wrenches. The provided stamped wrenches are so poorly made that they slip under pressure, guaranteeing banged-up knuckles if you try to use them. The small bolts are labeled as M6, but they are actually M10 for both the bolt & nut, requiring two M10 sockets or wrenches—which, again, aren’t called out correctly in the manual. These mistakes add unnecessary hassle to what should be a straightforward assembly process. If you’re not paying close attention, you’ll likely assume you’re using the wrong tools, only to realize the instructions themselves are just wrong. The Freeky-Fit Adjustable Height Swivel Garage Stool had potential. The metal frame is well-made, & if all the parts were correctly manufactured, it would likely be a solid & comfortable addition to any workspace. However, the lack of quality control, misleading assembly instructions, & frustrating missing parts make it a hard pass. This stool embodies the worst of “Chinesium” manufacturing—good on paper, solid in some areas, but absolutely ruined by cut corners in quality control & lazy documentation. If you get lucky & receive a unit with all the correct parts, it might be great. But given my experience, I wouldn’t take that gamble again. 2/5 stars.

The chair is nice but Quality Control not so great
I had some difficulty on assemble due to 1 hole not punched out. I had to drill it myself. Quality Control must be non existent at the company. I had 1 other piece not sit where it needed to for bolt alignment. The piece was mushroomed on the end and had to work it down. Once it was assembled and tried it out it was very comfortable for my 260lbs.
