This thing is pleasant to use - but one should use it with a few drops of oil (- I used mineral oil) so as to avoid a heavy build-up of swarf - and it leaves an excellent finish that cuts wonderfully. The stone is in truth some 15, 000 grit, as I think another review here says. (And obviously this means that one should use this stone only after sharpening on coarser stones.)The stone is a tad small in dimensions other than thickness (and/but fits in my stone holder). That is odd: what the stone needs is width and length; given how hard the stone is, it does not need as much thickness as it has, because the thing is going to wear very slowly. Consequently it will not need much flattening either. However, I'd heard that natural stones benefit from having the surface removed. So when it arrived I used a succession of diamond stones on it (on all sides of it) and then a 'dressing' stone.There's no box but only a kind of rubber harness. Still, for the price, one can't complain about that.The stone got delivered to my back door with precious little notification. I discovered it there after it had been there, I think, for some days. The stone was not well wrapped but it had survived its journey from China unscathed.The seller communication was not great: I got replies, assuring me that this was a natural and (or such seems to be the idea) not reconstituted jade stone; but getting precise answers was hard.

Unusefull! Before try it with hair scissors I tried with school scissors and now they don't cut anymore!!! I throw it!
