Great design, but the axe needs work
I brought a few of these mechs - out of the four, I think this one is a solid second best. The design is great, in terms of actual looks probably my fav of the four. The hunchbacked body, the boosters, the head and feet, it's all really good stuff.Brick quality isn't up to lego's but it's very good, especially for the cost and amount you get for the money which is substantial, he's a big fella! Nothing was missing, and the parts connect pretty well, though they're definitely tighter connections than lego's.My only two issues perhaps are the colour and weapon. It's a little hard to tell in the renders, but some of the parts look to be a sort of metallic bronze. Some bits of it are but a lot of them are just a flat brown. It's not a huge problem but I would have preferred the metallic. The weapon is a bit more of an issue. It's a big old axe, a cool actual shape but it has two problems. First, the blade. It's supposed to basically be two plates that meet in the middle, but it sort of flexes open a bit and there's not really anything that can be done to fix it - it isn't awful but it's not ideal. And then there's the joint connecting it to the hand. As with most of the mechs, the weapons are just a bit too heavy and especially with this one. if not supported by the other hand or bracing it on something, the axe will actively fall out of his hand under it's own weight, not ideal.Overall though I'm quite happy with this and glad I took the risk!
