Replacement halogen for small pir security light
Small size halogen light bulb is just the job on an outdoors pir security lamp.Not ready to replace the unit with a led version so looked for a replacement bulb when this stopped working and it’s still possible to get replacements for a reasonable amount and for me the light doesn’t trigger often so not worried about higher electricity costs versus led.Easy to change, switched it off, the. unscrewed the housing opened the front, removed old, carefully fitted new without touching the glass (used a small piece of foam packing) then greased the securing screw and reassembled.

The cheapest ones aren’t always good value but I found these ones spot on and worked well
Make sure you know the size you want as there are different lengths

A good replacement
The media could not be loaded. Delivered on time and well packaged.Removal of a lamp requires cutting around the clear plastic to gain access to it, try not to touch directly touch the lamp glass, use a paper tissue to extract the lamp and then put it into the floodlight fitting. The floodlight with PIR in the video is over 20years old and is going back into service after a bit of cleaning and painting. Lamp replacement was easy and it’s more cost effective than replacing with an LED light fixture.
