Quick and easy replacement for the remote that comes with many google tv units. Appears well made with quality materials. Fit, finish, weight, all feels and looks like the original remote. Connection was easy. Simply push and hold the button on the front of the google tv unit until it starts flashing, then push and hold the home and return buttons on the remote until the light on starts flashing, then you'll be able to pair the remote.

Thought our Google Chromecast might be broken, but decided to try the remote first. Bought the remote replacement and it was easy to setup/sync, great functionality, saved us money, and the battery lasts forever. Love how lightweight it is, and how we were able to make it work for our older Chromecast without compatibility problems.

Did not work on my TCL tv with Roku, I had to purchase a Roku remote instead. I can't get into the tv's main menu for settings with the Roku remote.

There weren't very clear instructions with these remotes. I found the remote pairing menu under settings on chromecast, and even then it didn't seem to pair on the first try. I probably wasn't doing something right, but when I got it to pair it worked perfectly. Thanks to Google, there doesn't seem to be a limit on how many remotes can be paired with chromecast... so no more need to hand remotes back and forth between my wife and I. The button 'click' is a bit louder and needs more force than a real Google remote, but it didn't bother us and worked flawlessly.Bottom line, we're very happy with this remote and even bought an extra!

Excellent replacement for my remote that died on me.

My children had broke my other remote and i was very skeptical at first. but it works fine just like my other one so i dont mind.

(I am using this with a 2022 Google Chromecast)There is no quick pairing button on the remote, contrary to what one of the pictures says. And it certainly doesn't pair automatically. Here are the steps that worked for me (I also attached a marked-up photo of the manufacturer instructions, which were buried in one of the product photos):1. Press the button on back of Chromecast (below the LED) until light flashes amber.2. On TV screen you will see Chromecast is looking for devices to pair with.3. On remote, press and hold HOME + BACK simultaneously, till LED blinks.4. The remote should appear on the TV screen within a few seconds.5. Now you have to select the Remote on screen. How do you do that without a working remote??Seems like a Catch-22, how do you select the Remote to pair, when you don't have a working remote? Use the Remote function on your Google Home app. 1) Open Google Home app (install if needed). 2) Select the Chromecast device you are trying to pair with. 3) Click the REMOTE button at bottom, to bring up an on-screen virtual remote. 4) Use that to select the replacement remote.
