A superb and uplifting performance. As good as anything this group of musicians ever recorded. What a find!

Love this album - NFAK at his very best.

If you’re already a fan of the much missed NFAK then you will, correctly, want to own this ‘new’ collection. It is not however a showcase of the man at his pinnacle.It’s a great album and no denying, but it is also the off cuts from the late 1980s MUSST MUSST sessions (and THAT LP is the place to start if you are new to Nusrat).To be clear, Nusrat’s left-overs are better than most Qawwali singers’ best output, but nevertheless there was a reason that these tracks took second place to those used on MUSST MUSST (and were then subsequently shelved).Side 2 opener in particular, ‘Ya Gaus Ya Meeran’, is very good (shades of his much sampled track Ta Deem) but overall I was left wanting more/better and would suggest that this - well produced - album is, while not quite barrel scraping, mainly aimed at ‘completists’.
