Easy to use and a great value
This kit works great, and the included tools are a step up from the bargain-basement stuff. Most of these network tool kits seem fairly generic, this one included. But, the included tools don’t cut corners or compromise, which makes it easier to get good results. The main crimper is solidly built, with sharp blades, and a smooth ratchet. There’s also a spare set of blades in the kit. Also, I like that the crimper has a good-sized, color-coded sticker showing the 2 arrangements for the wires - it’s just too easy to get distracted, or be at an odd angle, and get one of those tiny wires mixed up. The yellow stripper/punch down tool is the standard low-grade tool that’s fine for a couple of uses. The gray stripper, though, is an upgrade - the mechanism allows for precise alignment of the blade, which makes it easier to strip off the outer cable without nicking one of the little inner wires. The pass through connectors and strain relief boots are also a cut about the cheapest stuff. These, too, make it easier to get good results. Lastly, I was surprised and impressed to see a good set of wire cutters - but not just wire cutters, true flush cutters. Because these cutters have a flat back and come together entirely parallel, they make a clean cut, even when they’re right up against something. It’s tough to capture it in pictures, but take a look at the pics and see how the blades come together. This makes it easy to clean up a fumbled connection or cut a zip tie flush, without leaving a razor sharp edge sticking out.The only thing missing is a case, but that’s easy enough to fix, and I’d much rather have the included upgraded tools than a generic throw-away case.

Great quality and awesome set of tools
I expected this ZoeRax Ethernet Crimping Tool Kit to be kind of generic with OK tools, but I was very mistaken, happily. While the tools are not top notch brand name, they are much better than you'd expect in a kit at this price. The crimper is solid, mostly metal, and has a nice color coded chart for both RJ45 and RJ11 connections as well as cutters and strippers as well as a couple of spare blade. The punchdown tool is pretty basic, but does work. The cutters are actually flush cut cutters and of very good quality. Too many of these have mismatched cutting blades or they badly aligned. But these are both aligned well and have no gaps between the blades. The Network cable tester works well, but it would've been nice to have a battery included. The pass through connectors were of good quality along with the boots. I expected standard connectors as that's what's included with most budget kits and was very pleasantly surprised to find the pass through ones instead.Overall, a great set of tools that very handily exceeded my expectations. I would absolutely order this again should the need arise. Same with recommending this to others. I think this would be a nice "starter kit" for someone starting out in the field.A+++++

All you need to make cables
This kits comes with everything you need to cut, strip, and make network and phone cables. I own and work with more higher quality tools, but these tools we no slouches. They come in at a great price point and are made well enough to last a while. I made several patch cables using the tools and they all worked well. There is some overlap between some of the tools, but that allows techs to utilize the tools in the kit in a way that fits into their workflow. The RJ-45 connectors are the passthrough type where the pairs slide all the way through the connector and the crimper cuts them off. If you have other non-passthrough connectors you’ll want to keep them separate. The only two negatives I have about this kit are 1) the tester didn’t come with a 9v battery. I hate when manufacturers sell you a device that requires batteries but doesn’t give you one to start off with. 2) The bag of RJ-45 sleeves come in a zip-loc type bags that closes and seals but the bag with the RJ-45 connectors does not. Why? For small jobs I just want to throw a bag in my backpack and go. I can’t with this bag or else the connectors will all fall out.Overall, the tools in this kit are made well enough for you to get good use out of them. They seem to be made well enough for you to get some good use out them.

Everything You Need in One Box
Recently upgrading a wired PoE security camera system, I had to make a bunch of custom length Ethernet cables. All I had in stock were the old style closed-end CAT 5 connectors, and when I saw this kit with all the tools and 50 pass-thru connectors with strain relief boots and even a new network cable tester, it was a no-brainer at this price. As soon as it arrived, I started making the new cables with CAT 6 UTP 23AWG riser cable. I admit that preparing the first few ends provided a bit of a learning curve, but practice made it easier quickly. Soon I was making fully functional new cables as validated by the included basic cable tester. This kit has all the basic cable tools you need for an extensive home or small business DIY Ethernet cabling project, including an excellent flush cutting diagonal cutting plier which will be handy for other projects.I’m a big fan of “everything-in-the-box” project kits, so I wished that the tester had come with a battery, but at this price, it’s an understandable oversight. Otherwise, this kit had it all, including spare blades for the cutters. I’m especially happy that there was a separate cable stripper tool included, as it is much quicker and handier to use than the one built into the crimper which runs the risk of nicking the insulation on the individual strands as it is not finely adjustable for depth of cut.

Great crimp kit with everything to get started
I acquired this CAT5/6 crimp kit mainly because it included a crimper that would work with RJ45 plugs that were "through" -- meaning that as you arrange and slide in the wires, they exit the front of the connector, and when crimped, the tool cuts them flush with the plug. This "wire through" nature makes it easier to separate and re-order the wire to meet the TIA-568A/B standards. It also allows crimping closer to where the wires are still twisted which preserves as much of the performance (speed) of the cable as possible. The kit was quite nice including anti-snag boots, some through connectors, and all the tools you need to crimp the cable either built into the tool, or as separate items. After crimping on a few connectors, it was quick to "get the hang of it" and turn on newly crimped plugs in speedy manner. This ia great for DIY applications or someone that needs to do a low to moderate number of crimps for a home or small office installation. Professionals probably would want to speed more for a more rugged tool, but hit checks most of the boxes for most people.
