Ayurveda: A Comprehensive Guide to Traditional Indian Medicine for the West Paperback – September 16, 2010

This is indeed a comprehensive ayurvedic medical guide, but what I appreciate most about this book is that it is written for the non-Indian layman, with historical background, pronunciations and explanations so that one can *comprehend* the scope of Ayurvedic. It is a fairly large book that looks somewhat daunting, but once you start reading, it becomes fascinating to see how everything connects.

An excellent introduction to Ayurvedic principles and foundations. The author provides a wealth of knowledge for the novice reader that would also be useful for a more experienced Ayurvedic practitioner for quick reference guides and overviews. Helpful and well organized for returning later to specific bits of information as needed.

Purchased for a course that I am currently taking but this is a great read. Very well written and informative. Satisfied with this purchase.

I love this book! The layout makes it very east to navigate my way through and it is also worded so a beginer can understand perfectly well but is very detailed at the same time. A very interesting subject at the least.

A lot of Indian Ayurvedic Information. I doubt you will ever need another book on the subject, unless you are becoming an Ayurvedic practitioner. It is very technical, but very thorough and that's a good thing.

Book is great but the delivery was less than satisfactory. The package was left on my porch one one of the few days that it rained her in Albuquerque this November. The box got damp and the book is slightly deformed.

good intro to Ayureda and has good ideas. Easy read.
