Easy to read comprehensive introduction to the hobby.

Not the book for me, a lot of information, a large soft cover book, well written, but I expected the coins with a photo and a approximate value.My husband found this book in my “wish list” and purchased it for me, he knows I am interested in coins and collecting them.I am sure many people may enjoy this book.

Great book, I have been collecting for a number of years now but there was lots to learn from this book.

I disliked several things. I am a beginner and for the price I expected lots of sharply detailed colour photos, dates of individual coins series, prices for each and a section on rare coins. There were 8 black and white very poor quality images, 6 of them of common coins, and two pages of information about where to go looking for coins in markets and shops in the USA! The paper quality was poor too. For a book which is meant to describe in detail small objects that need a clear image and description, I do not understand why some people have given good reviews.
