The Real Deal 7/10 its not UK's No 1 Bestseller for no reason
well this is really space saving in comparison the older 9.5l ninja air fryer. however this version doesn't cook as quickly on lower rack as the previous one. so I keep the racks on high level to allow air to flow 360 around the food.just the space saving alone is worth investing in they air fryer. counter space comes at a premium. the golden black version isn't cheap looking in reality. in pictures it would seem as some cheap looking copper gimmick. well don't worry about it looking cheap. its notthe start up function is different form the older model and needs a bit of learning curve . I wanted to return it due to this issue however the space saving design stopped me.it comes with all necessary accessories like internal grill racks and tongs. there isn't much else you need except maybe butter paper trays to put on base of bowls to keep oil in check and make cleaning easier.the air vents now go out from the right side. the same side the control panel is at. so you can't keep it against a wall on the right side . at least not plain against the right side.noise same as older models . not much different . beeping also samewarranty is very nice. ninja immediately replies to emails and calls. so no danger of being left hanging high and dryair fryer lasts about 2 to 3 yrs before it needs deep cleaning . so no matter which company you buy it from you will eventually have to deep clean it. never done as the last one broke near the 2 yr mark and ninja replaced it.why is this the no 1 best selling air fryer. well customer service . as I just mentioned above. and they used common sense in designing this item .air fryer vs deep fryerwell the taste isn't much different after using air fryer for 3+ yrs. wished has bought it years ago instead of deep fryer. don't go for deep fryer. the potato chips fry better in this then any deep fryer could ever fry them. and they taste good. at least marks and Spencer frozen chips. you get the idea.cleaning the internal plates in dishwasher. the external bowls are rinsed with soapy hot boiling water . so not much of an issue. maybe weekly cleaning is ok for most people or maybe once in 2 weeks.toxins. well if you are afraid of toxins then you probably also have mental health issues which can't differentiate between which toxins else to avoid and your focus is on air fryer toxins as they are easier to paddle to simpleton folks. what about body spray toxins or milk from gm cows or air form car exhausts which are now nearly impossible to avoid. it your choice of poison vs ease of life. what do you choose you would like to be affected by. there is no avoiding toxins. so personal preference here.

Finally got one ... after disappointing 1st generation of air fryers from an age ago
We had the original air fryers that used a few drops of oil.The World promised to become a paradise ... it was a disaster. The chips were nowhere near that deep fry satiety you always got.Modern day politics has taken society to the depths of despair - and this is ouronly saviour. The last bastion of feel good left, that only chips can fulfil. This is a dangerous piece of kit, within 19mins or so those chunky chips are ready, whichmeans you could be eating a lot more chips than you used to.I'll be honest, I'm not fussed with the multitude of different foods it can handle - chips are thebe all and end all for me - however, those frozen bakes were baked to perfection. No more emptying the oven of oil pan and baking trays for two bakes and a few chips that you had to individually flip, which all meant you didn't end up going to the bother of emptying the oven in the first place.A half-time shake is all you need for the chips, and, you can get away with not flipping the bake as it sit's on the rack.No more heating the oil to the right temperature, overcooking the chips because you were on the phone or getting spat at - this is the easy way. There are a lot of brands to choose from but Ninja really do make good quality products so it was the natural choice for me, all though you can buy cheaper ones. The copper finish looks a lot better than the standard silver one, already have enough silver/grey items around, definitely stands out amongst the other kitchen gadgets. If you have the space, the larger ones come with the rack. Ending up buying one for family, but they only have enough space for the smaller one - which doesn't have the rack option - glad I have the space, having now used both, the rack is definitely worth having.Chips underneath, bake on top - the biggest loser in all of this is probably Greggs ... except when you have to work away, but working from home, this is awesome. The contents of your freezer is going to change - that second bag of frozen chunky chips is going to evict something else :)HOWEVER, if there is one issue with this air fryer, it's the Temp & Time buttons. They are too close to the menu selection wheel and you have to press them with your finger sideways, you can't comfortably press them directly, as you can with the other ones.It is annoying.

Easy meals, minimal effort and you can do 'quality' meals
For me, I do a lot of fish cooking and found putting the fillets on baking paper on a rack face down worked best. It makes cleaning up easier as any fat tends to stay on the paper and the skin gets nice and crisp. I usually go for undercutting the times - and the cut of the fish makes a difference anyway. I love veg done with Max Crisp, and chips are great. If you don't want to 'cook' cook then this is the biz.The only criticism I have is that the crisping plates can be a pig to clean, so I soak them. I did try the silicon baskets but found they are hard to clean, and they affect the cooking times and quality as the air doesn't circulate so well. I have seen reviews that say different, but this was me. It wasn't enough to lose a star.

Does what it says on the tin
treated myself to an air fryer, extremely pleased with the reduced cooking time, & thus energy, very easy to use, glad I chose Ninja, cheaper on the market, but you gets what you paid for

A solid 4/5
It's pretty easy to clean because the shelves are quite small. Quality is good like any other Ninja product. The timer and the cooking are perfect. The compartments are a little bit small so can't really do big portions, I'd say for that reason it's not the most versatile of products. I do still use it quite often for smaller things so I don't have to turn on the oven and waste all that energy. It's great for energy saving when cooking smaller amounts of food.
