Back when the pandemic started my gym closed down so I bought a set of resistance bands to use at home.When the gym opened up again I had decided that I was getting an adequate workout with my bands in less time than I had been spending driving to the gym.I live on my sailboat so space is somewhat constrained. I have to be resourceful about adapting exercises for the space I have available.I had been getting a long fine with my loop type resistance bands but was looking for some way to make my workouts easier on my hands so I decided to give this device a try.It works great. One reviewer mentioned issues with the attachment hooks not rotating properly but credited the vendor with a quick response. Based on that level of customer support I decided to give this bar a try. Mine arrived in fine shape and has seen regular use for over a month at this point.This bar has done a lot more than just make my bands less uncomfortable with my bands. It has added entirely new dimensions to my workouts.They give you as little pamphlet with the bar which I, for some reason, did not throw out like I usually would. It turns out I got a lot of helpful pointers about how to use this device to add versatility to my workouts.I especially like the fact that the handles unscrew from the bar and can be used separately for many exercises.Good product that is designed well and seems to be well made. I'm expecting years of use out of it.

The bar is excellent for exercises at less than shoulder width. It would be better if it were another 16” longer for wider grip exercises

I thought I had already reviewed this, so if I did, sorry about the second review. This product is exactly as described, and very useful. I like the feel as a bar, which is very light, and the extra clips toward the inside can be helpful. The handles, when separated, have a really good feel, and add something when used. Not only can you do work with hands separated, but the double clips give you some options (such as shortening the band). As some others have said, there is an issue with one side not "locking" in, but it doesn't bother me, since the clips are rotating anyway. And all four clips on this unit rotate smoothly. Bottom line, it was a good price/value and I will be using it.

One of the hooks on my bar would not even rotate. I had high hopes for this product but it was a disappointment. The hooks also appear to be made out of plastic. Not durable. I sent it back.Update: The company reached out to me and sent me a new bar. This one didn't have the issue with the hook being frozen in place. I also examined the hooks and they are definitely not plastic as I originally thought. They are some sort of painted metal. I raised my review from 1 star to 3. I was impressed with the customer service and how they proactively offered to make things right by sending me a new bar at no charge.While the hooks rotate, they do so without a "smooth" feel. I lubricated with some Tri-Flow and it helped but there is still a sort of gritty feel to the movement. I purchased this bar primariy to use it as individual handles. If the handles incorporated a bearing system it would be a perfect design but since it relies on some sort of friction fit, the feel just isn't there. Over time I fear it will become even worse. I wish someone could make a higher-quality handle with actual bearings that would be smooth and reliable, without charging an obscene price.

Most things are nice when they're brand new, but this is "old school" sturdy. Metal construction that won't succumb to stress fractures due to repeated use. Versatile enough to be used in a variety of ways. I like to use various types [lengths, widths and weights] of bands with it. The construction allows it to be disassembled, which is great for travel. Great for those of us whose joints can't lift weights as often or as heavy as they once could. Adaptable application for the beginner, Seniors or the advanced. It is also custommizable to your current and progressive capability for resistance training.

These are perfect for my husbands physical therapy needs.
