A bit frustrating at first. The can has to be on just right in order to have the top removed. Eventually i found the sweet spot and havent had any issues since. The magnet could be a bit stronger. I would by again.I own many of Drew Barrymores appliances

Cute but not functional
Doesn't work very well. Won't hold the weight of a small can of green beans. Gets stuck. Will spin on the outside of the can and not latch or puncture the lid.Not worth the $$
