Go HP go Instant Ink
Prints pretty quick. Not excessively noisy but not extremely quiet either in my opinion. But still not loud by any means. Great printer! Go with the Instant Ink subscription despite what others may say. Instead of paying $40 for a new ink cartridge, when your almost out they will automatically send you a new one free when subscribed which can cost less than $2 per month based upon the amount of pages you print per month. It will save you a boatload of money.

Great HP DeskJet 4255e!
Love this printer! Easy set up. I actually replaced my older model Deskjet with this newer one. They look and function exactly the same. Perfect for personal home use! Print and scanning quality are perfect. A GREAT value for the money!

AVOID. This is, by far, the very worst printer I have ever purchased
This is, by far, the very worst printer I have ever purchased; and I have a purchased a lot of printers for personal and business reasons. I was looking for a simple home printer for BASIC printer. I am talking a page a week printing, a copy here and there. This printer fails at everything. It is 2 months old. I had problems with it on day 1. AVOID.Background: Lifetime, I have had maybe plus printer for business and personal use. I am the one that buys printers at work.Let's start with the app. It sucks. Truly. It is also the only way to get something printed. This crappy printer respond to nothing but the app.COPYING. Today, I wanted to make a copy of the receipt. Alas, I could not. It kept giving me an error of door opened because there is a RECEIPT in there waiting to me scanned. THat is the whole point. I opened and closed every single part of this printer. Mind you, it had printed a paper the day before and I did nothing different other than lift the cover, place the receipt, hit copy. NOTHING. NOTHING.Turned on the app, scan and print, NOTHING.I have tried printing from my computer, it is plugged in by physical wire, NOTHING.I tried printing from the app, nothing. Then, the next day, I hit print for something else, and lo and behold, yesterday's print comes in. No, it isn't the laptop. It was never turned off. I also tried two different computers, a phone and ipad.WORST printer ever. AVOID.

Very hard to set up!
It was a very rocky start setting up this HP printer. HP gives you no printed instructions just a video. That would have been fine except half way through set up the video instructions don’t match what the printer is asking for. Could not get WiFi to connect and could find nothing in video or on line through HP with any suggestions on what to try next! They didn't even have any “what to try if” instructions!Luckily this was not my first printer set up and I just went on my own experience with other printer setups. Seat of my pants kind of thing! Finally got it done and so far printer has been doing what it should do PRINT!I like the paper loading in back since I had lot of problems with my Cannon printer tray and paper jams, And I like having a printer cable for my lap top, I also like the ink delivery and recycle system.I was not looking for lots of features - just reliable printing. So far so good on that count. Price was right also!

Excellent home printer
I like to print out recipes, and different documents from home. Sometimes I even print off my phone. This is all Bluetooth functionality. Print speed is excellent. Print quality is excellent. Excellent color. Looked at this same printer at Staples. They were out of stock. so glad the Amazon had it. I highly recommend this printer and would buy it again.

Very nice printer
Excellent printer. Quiet. Set up was easy. It’s not too big just the perfect size. I haven’t gotten any sort of errors yet - been using it for over 2 months now. Pictures print wonderfully. It comes with a starter ink kit.

Worth the price if you have patience to deal with technical issues
I’ve had this printer for about 7 months now. For the most part it works as it should. It prints at an acceptable speed, I mostly use it for document printing so I have no quality issue with that. I have printed photos as well and they printed fairly well, I wouldn’t get this however if you are planning to use for high quality photos/stickers etc.I have so far run into a couple technical issues with wireless connection that I eventually troubleshooted. But I had 2 other issues that I couldn’t figure out . First, I signed up for the Instant Ink trial, I could never get the cartridges to properly connect so I was unable to use the instant ink I was shipped. I didn’t have the patience to reach out to support so I just cancelled it.Second issue occurred this week. The information button kept blinking and said I needed to resolve an account issue or I wouldn’t be able to print anymore. I couldn’t figure out what was going on and it eventually stopped me from printing altogether. I reached out to support after attempting to fix on my own. They walked me through it and we just needed up doing a factory reset. The issue ended up being that my ink cartridge was still connected to instant ink even though it could be used as a regular cartridge (it Came with printer).I’m not the most tech savvy person but I’ve also had HP printers multiple times over the years and never had an issue I couldn’t figure out. This was however my first time attempting to use instant ink. The instant ink features create their own unique set of headache. I mention this because it was also a deciding factor as to why I purchased this printer since it came with 3 months free.Overall I understand the cost effectiveness of utilizing instant print features, but my experience thus far makes it less appealing. Seeing as you can use the printer with regular cartridges I still find it was worth the fairly inexpensive cost.
