My grandson, age 9, loved these! We played with them in the swimming pool where there was room for how fast they are. We raced, played bumper boat and they lasted past his attention span.

The item does not accept the charge. After trying multiple times. Also, after reading the instructions, I realized even if it had excepted the charge from my outlet, it would only work no more than 10 minutes! They should tell us that it only works for 10 minutes! I would never have wasted my time and purchasing this for my granddaughter. I am glad I never got to give it to her. It would’ve been a disappointment.

Perfect bath toy for my four-year-old

He is so cute and the movement he makes in the water is adorable. We cannot get his paddle to stay attached to his "hands". It does include an extra paddle which is nice. There is a sensor that only allows this to work in the water which is also nice as not to run the battery down just sitting there. We are having problem with one of the propellers. It does not consistently turn. There is a USB charger for the device, but the remote still needs batteries. Like many other remote toys this one does not work for very long before you either need to recharge or replace the batteries. Because of this you can often lose the little guy. We had to retrieve him with a fishing net. I think this is much more useful as a bathtub toy than it is at the lake which is what we got it for. I would equate it with most other remote control water toys from Five Below, discount stores, etc. I think the price is a bit high if it is priced on quality and performance, but priced right for the cuteness and unique factors.

Oh my gosh, what a cute and fun little guy! Worked beautifully. Can't wait for races during our annual family summer pool party. Can't speak to the longevity yet but they appear well made and they are a lot faster than I thought they'd be. Very happy with them.

I purchased 2. They are cute and a great idea but the dont work well. Even with fully charged battery it stops working and you need to pick it up and move the parts to get it going. It does not switch modes as it should and is not easy to control. Would be neat if it worked right.

This is a really cute toy. We've got some small RC boats that operate in a similar fashion, but the kayaker is the one the kids want to use. I like anything that'll get them more outside time this summer.The main downside is the battery doesn't last very long and the battery is internal which means no extra battery. So once it's done, that's it and it has to be recharged. So of course the kids want to get as much runtime as possible and they'll run it down to nothing. If the kayak is out in the middle of a pond then you'll have to go fetch it or wait for the wind to blow it to shore. Or try and push it with a "rescue boat" - fun even when the battery is dead.So while I got this with the intention to use in a local pond, I think a swimming pool is the best place to for it. You could use it in a bathtub, but you're going to end up running it into the edge constantly.I like the small size of it, it makes it pretty portable. The whole box is about as large as a swim mask.
