Q: Is it hard for new pilots?

Im a new pilot. with Gyro set up correct, it flies nice. Thing is a beast as far as size though . make sure you have room..

Q: What is needed to make this ready to fly?

First you need a 6 channel transmitter You will need a matching brand 6 channel receiver. You will need a 14. 4 volt 4 cell battery. I use 3000 4 cell. This plane is very stable and fun to fly . I added some 2 inch colored duct like tape stripes on the upper wings.
