I thought its smaller size would be great for my winter indoor pond set up but it was more than I anticipated with the power this pump has on it! I of course was able to finesse the water flow strength with some rocks and plants and can’t wait to use this as the new water fall pump for the outdoor pond this spring! I’ll add that it helped keep my pond plants super healthy with the water flow in our bog set up.

The media could not be loaded. This filter went together very easy. I adjusted the power of the pump before securing it in the filter box. Added a couple of light bars and installed in my 150 gal Koi pond (stock tank). I highly recommend this pond filter/ fountain.

Overall the look and design is pretty good and it functions as needed. It's easy to take apart and reassemble. My issues with this are1. The filter plugs up so quickly that I have to completely pull it apart and scrub it weekly. I've tried using it just as a fountain without the filter media, but the intake to the pump unit fills up even quicker then, so I have to clean it more often. It's not feasible for a large pond.2. The fountain attachments are not threaded. I can't believe this should even be an issue because they should just be threaded so they stay in place, but it really is. To pull this out of the water or do anything with it, you have to carry it by the base/boxy part of the fountain. My pond is ~3 feet deep and I try to lift it very slowly by the fountain attachment so that I don't have to put my entire arms underwater, but that doesn't work. Instead, the attachments pop right off, this last time causing the filter to land on one of my large ryukins, and it hasn't swam since. I would easily give this 5 stars if the attachments were threaded and could be locked into place, but they aren't and it makes managing the cleanings much more difficult and messy.Aside from the design flaws, I'd recommend this for pond that aren't deep or too large, especially if you don't have fish or wildlife. This is not for someone who wants a low maintenance fountain. I'm real bitter about losing such an expensive fish because of what could be such a simple design change.

The media could not be loaded. For my smallish pond this is a much better fountain than the one I previously had (by a national brand). This fountain takes in water in a much better location than my previous one. I’ve not had to pull it out once to de-gunk it. The fountain head does get stopped up but a simple unscrew and wash out fixes it. Very durable and great value.

Item failed in 34 days. Stopped working and tripped my GFCI breaker. Cannot recommend.

It’s really nice and has plenty of attachments! It’s perfect for any little pond! I use it for my duck pond and have to clean it every day but it’s nice! And the ducks love it!

Lasts a very long time. Does get clogged with algae but I imagine that's my fault.
