Great job
So found this Dyson V12 in the bin at the back of DID shop. Changed the trigger. Now I have a top hoover almost free of charge.

Part of I’ll NOT fit a V8 Dyson model
The media could not be loaded. This part does not fit the V8 model as described in main description, I found this out after an extensive difficult break down to reach the switch, the extended part is on the opposite side of where it needs to be for the v8 switch

Button looks well made but knob is the wrong side for the Dyson v8, so did not even try to fit. misleading title

Clever wording in description good luck trying to fit them
The Dyson V8 was never intended to be worked unless you are a specialist

Dishonest
States that the trigger hold is for a Dyson V8 but it isn't it is for a V10, spoke to customer services and was told there's nothing you can do about it. I belive that attitude is dishonest AVOID!
