Unsupported Android lets it down
The hardware is truly excellent. I use this way more than my Kindles (Paperwhite, Oasis and Scribe) and the colour for note taking and web browsing is great. Once the settings are dialed in for apps the ghosting isn’t an issue.Unfortunately the version of Android on this will never be updated and already doesn’t get security updates despite being a current model. This is unforgivable and means the device cannot be used for anything secure like banking and email nor can it be connected to work for note taking. With up to date Android this device would have been almost perfect but as it stands it’s basically a toy.

Good device - poor quality control
I owned the device for 5 months, kept it in a protective case and on my bedside table. Went to use it and the edge of the screen was cracked. Boox Support will not admit they have a quality issue, but there are many reports of screens failing and Support saying it could only be caused by 'external forces' they quoted me $245to repair the screen and $40 for shipping (plus any customs charges involved in sending the device to Poland and back)I really like the device but can't recommend it to people given that it could fail at any moment and you won't get support for it from the manufacturer.Amazon did offer a full refund though so if you're taking a punt on a Boox, buy through Amazon.
