Calm your dog by blocking their view
We have a 9 month old beagle who is so worked up by the wildlife out the window. Our trainer recommended the frosted film at the bottom of the windows where the dog can see out. Let's hope it saves us from a little barking and whining. This was simple to put up... Just follow the directions. Make sure the window is clean all the way to the edges. If you have a dog, I recommend doing it while they are sleeping or outside. Ours kept sticking his nose on the clean window. LOLBe patient. After you have sprayed the soapy water on the window, remove a corner of the backing (the most challenging step) and align the film at the top of the window. Pull the backing off as you smooth it down onto the window. Use the squeegee to remove all water and air bubbles. Trim the edges as needed (oh, yes, cut it slightly larger than the window.) Then smooth all the edges, burnishing onto the window. Voila! You're done!

Achieved the Goal
Very happy with this frosted film. I bought it for a different item but ended up using it on this cabinet (had to order a second roll to complete the fourth door). I love the glass doors on it, but we keep sooooo much stuff in it that the clutter was too visible. The film was easy to apply; do what it says and use lots of water (I kept a towel under the door while I squeegeed the water out). Also, I didn’t have any no-tears baby shampoo handy, but a tiny drop of dish soap with water did the trick. I also love that it’s easy to remove, so if I change my mind once we’re able to use this cabinet more for decor and less for storing so much stuff, I can take this off and have the clear glass completely intact.

Just a little more privacy!
If your front door is making you feel exposed, but you don’t want to add treatments or anything permanent, this is a great alternative! I added it to the bottom two panels of our front door and now we can watch television, etc. without feeling like the whole neighborhood is watching. The application process is a little odd, but trust the process and try again if it doesn’t work well the first time.

Review on plain opaque film, directions, and privacy.
I used it for a back door window and it was reasonably easy to apply. Directions say you can't use enough (soapy) water, but I say you can. Lol. The good thing about adding a little excess water is you can slide the film around to get it where you want it. Directions also state to mix "1 quart of water and 1/4 mild dish soap or no-tears baby shampoo." I didn't know if that meant that 1/4 of the mix should be soap, 1/4 cup or what, so I added approx. 1/4 cup baby shampoo because 1/4 quarter of 1 qt of soap would have been the whole bottle of baby wash. It worked out well. I had to cut the excess on the window with the razor provided and that side is jagged, but it's so close to the edge of the window it's not very noticeable. It does provide pretty decent privacy, so I will be using a curtain in front of it for night time when the indoor lights will be on and it would be easy to see a person on the inside of the house. However, it will be good for day time to let light in. Not bad at all for the price. The only deficits are the instructions are a little screwy in a couple of places and that when I cut one side while the film was on the window that whole side is jagged. It said to have extra, which I did. I should have not had extra and measured perfectly prior to hanging it. But you might find perhaps a better razor will work for you and to actually hang it with the extra film it suggests, then cutting the excess.

Great to help train your dog not to bark.
I have a friend who is taking her dog to obedience classes to train him not to bark. The trainer suggested using this on the window he looks out to block his view. This worked great for that purpose and went up very easily. Rather than baby shampoo in the water we used some dish soap. The little spray bottle that comes with the film has a great misty spray for the film and the window. Thank you for a great product.

Almost too easy!!
Surprisingly easy!!! First of all, I love that the instructions were easy to read and follow. The hardest part was separating the liner from the cling. It was easy to reposition if needbe and the included tools made the job simple and stress free. I love the final look and prefer this over the blinds we had!! It provides great light to the room while still giving a perfect amount of privacy!!! Highly recommend!!

Great total darkening film.
This is so easy to put on. No issues with bubbling. It works great for any windows you're having a lot of hot sun coming through. We have it on all upper windows facing south and west, and the lower panes have darking film, 15% or so.We used this on our French doors partway down the window from the top. They send you a small spray bottle, blade and a small plastic squeegee. Great company. It did not curl, it stuck to the windows nicely, spray the clean window and the back of the film. To get the plastic off of the film, use a piece of tape on the clear plastic side that you'll be removing and gentle pull the two sides apart. This film does not stick to itself it you happen to accidentally get do that. The other film that you can see through, you really have to be careful with that. This, not as much.

Does not stick to textured glass windows
I needed a sun blocking film for my bathroom window because UV rays come in the window very strong and makes it extremely hot inside. The windows are made of textured glass for privacy, I didn't expect this to stick but tried anyway. It indeed did not stick, but I was able to use black electrical tape to put it up while remaining aesthetically pleasing and I think it worked well. I also put some of this film on another regular window and it sticks very well. It blocks 100% of sun and UV and helps keep my apartment cool in the summer. The pattern also is very pretty and looks great.
