There is sufficient power in the fan to adequately control mild smoke and steam, particularly when the fan is set to its maximum level. After using this product when preparing foods that often filled my apartment with strong fragrances, such as frying fish or creating a hot pot, I noticed a considerable decrease in the lingering odors that were present after the dish was finished being prepared. I am able to simply modify the airflow to suit the food that I am preparing, and the many speed settings give me adaptability. I find that the lower settings are rather quiet, which is ideal for regular cooking when I do not need the highest amount of power. There is a tendency for the noise levels in a small place to become overbearing very fast, which is why I believe that this function is very significant. Additionally, the inclusion of the huge oil collecting cup is a kind touch. It is my opinion that it makes cleaning up a lot simpler since it efficiently gathers any grease particles, hence reducing the amount of buildup that occurs on the fan itself. I have used the range hood for frying, and it seems to perform a decent job of containing the majority of the oil, which contributes to the general cleanliness of the kitchen. In addition to being simple to remove and clean, the aluminum filter that can be detached is also quite handy. My impression is that it makes the maintenance process easy and uncomplicated, particularly considering that it can be cleaned in the dishwasher.

Bought this with serious doubts, reviews seem to either love it or hate it. You need to temper your expectations if you’re going to try it - having used it several times now, i can say that it’s neither a 5 star or 1 star product, but somewhere in the middle.I find it definitely does make a noticeable difference in terms of how long smells linger (which means it’s catching and purifying at least some of the cooking fumes), but it’s definitely not close to 100%, so don’t expect that. It’s definitely better than not having anything, which is what i would have without this. Also probably depends on what you’re cooking - some reviewers searing steaks are disappointed, and that certainly makes sense, this won’t make much of a dent in that. But for some simple quick pan frying or sautéing, this will help.Fan noise is certainly tolerable, there’s 2 regular speeds (i use the higher one most of the time), and a separate button for super duper turbo speed. Grease cup doesn’t seem to collect anything, but again probably depends on what you’re cooking. The black plastic filter cover seems to be warping from cooking heat, but the air still seems to be passing through without issue. It’s significantly sized, enough so that i don’t really have a cupboard area to put it in when it’s not in use, so i leave it around in the open - it’s not an unattractive piece of equipment, i like the glossy finish, and can pass as a piece of modern art; from the side it looks a bit like a sad little robot head 😁

I always love to eat hotpot and grill meats at home but was super hesitant to do it often because of the nasty stench that stays after a session and finally found a solution! This hood vent is great and actually works as described! It’s also very small and portable so you can easily move it around to where you need it. Clean up is a breeze, a quick wash of the filter inside and it’s ready to use again. Customer service is great and quick at replying back when you need help. I emailed them to request a new oil filter and they quickly gave me a solution. Will definitely be recommending this product to all my friends and family.

Where I live, I don't have space for the typical range hood and there are times I even have to use my electric griddle on my stove. I tried using a small desk fan but this blows that out of the water. Like your typical range hood, this actually sucks in any steam or smoke and what is weird, what comes out on the other end is just air. I thought for sure this was just going to suck it on and blow it back out but in the back, nothing but air is all that comes out. While this is a bit bigger than what I thought, it actually doesn't take up a lot of space, even with the small amount of space I do have. I also found this works great for when I go camping in my trailer too. Highly recommended for small kitchens, camping trailers and even outdoor kitchens.

This did not move any cooking steam away from a pot when I tested it. There was no significant change in airflow when the fan is positioned at the recommended distance from the stove. . Also after only 5 minutes the plug got very hot. I really wanted this to work because the downdraft vent on my Jenn Air doesn't work. Now I will have to get a new range instead.
