Puppies watch movies too.
Our puppy loves this movie and watches it from time to time when l play it for him. I know that as a parent you are not supposed to let the TV babysit your kids, but with puppies it is different. Anything you can find to keep a high energy puppy amused for a while is something to hold on to. He gets involved in it a growls and barks at the TV at various times. It was so funny watching him do this that l actually videoed it.

Great movie
This is an oldie but goodie. The Dalmatians are cute, but I love the Airedale in the movie that helps the puppies out of their situation. I guess I'm partial to Airedales because I had one at one time.

Not All Bad...
Yes, the classic Disney animated version was better, but this version should not be shunned. The story's still good, the scenery of London and its surrounding lands are nice, and the cast is generally well-chosen. Of course, we all know who's the best......Yes, Glenn Close steals every scene she's in. And why shouldn't she? Close makes Cruella de Vil the controlling, malicious, cigarette-smoking, fur-crazy villain we all know and love. In fact, I dare say that this Cruella is better than her animated counterpart...Glenn Close can just create that kind of three-dimensional presence.The rest of the cast was good too, though not as memorable, except maybe Jasper and Horace, played by Hugh Laurie and Mark Williams respectively. Their antics and arguments were mostly funny...by the end, they were as fed up with each other as with everything else and it showed. I just wish the filmmakers didn't feel the need to hit us over the head with the fact that the pair, especially Horace, weren't too bright...let the slapstick speak for itself.The updates to the story weren't bad either. Roger Dearly, played by Jeff Daniels, is now a videogame designer, an occupation definitely not in existence when the animated film was made. All the cars and houses are pretty modern. While it can be argued that all this makes the film more dated, I don't care. I watch it for the humor and the puppies.This is a relatively new take on something Disney made a classic. Go ahead and check it out. Enjoy.

LOVE this version
It is HARD to beat the original carton 101 Dalmatians BUT this is JUST as ADORABLE! We love watching it every Christmas!
