Excellent dinner service

This product is made for very small eaters, cannot get a Sunday roast on the plate. Very disappointed

I was so looking forward to receiving this dinner set. It arrived promptly & well packaged. It is a beautiful set the only problem for me is dinner plate size. They are vey small. Maybe big enough for a child or someone with a very small appetite… I have had to buy more plates from a department store . Top picture is from dinner set from Amazon bottom is replacement ones from a different store . I will keep set & use as a side plate. Also beware the bowls/ dishes are also very small… for me it’s a shame as it is excellent quality just far to small for average person.

Quality dishes but small. The bowls are not much bigger than mugs and shorter in height. It’s very nice though.

This dinner set isn't the best. The bowls are tiny and the smaller plates are like shallow bowls. The plates are good I like the lips around the edges preventing good from falling off the plate. The quality are thin and easily chipped and cracked. They dont stack well and topple off each other. Over priced in my opinion.

I wasn’t expecting this to be so well packaged. There is Styrofoam blocks, and each part of the set is packaged in its own inner box. All of ours were perfect, no damage to them at all.I got our health eating plates for size comparison. It’s a regular size plate and while the lip of the plate extends a very small amount over the edge of the Karaca plates, it’s not enough that would carry any additional food. In fact, because of the quite tall rim of the Karaca plates you can probably fit more on without it spilling over the edge.I did the same with the small plate and bowl. Again, no real difference in size. The bowl even holds the same amount of liquid as the bigger bowl that had a large flat edge. That being said, they do provide a bit of an optical illusion about how big they are.They’re probably not going to be to everyone’s taste for every day eating from, but if you’re wanting to a fancy set for guests or maybe Christmas it’s something that should (if you keep the packaging) last and be easily throw in the attic/loft for the next event.They are quite light but not the lightest plates we’ve used. We have an elderly member of our family at home and they appreciate them lighter, it makes little difference in practical use though.We’re using these daily though and have no problems eating from them. They wash nice, stand up in the rack for drying, and stack in the cupboards.

Finally, some sensible sized dinner plates!Many years ago we bought a dinner-set which has depleted through the ages and is now just 2 dinner plates but I always choose them over the larger plates we have acquired since, simply because the portion control is much easier.I have often looked for another 9 inch dinner-plates-set but nowadays manufacturers seem to think the bigger the plates are the better .These new plates are stylishly shaped and have a rather nice glossy surface.They have a raised edge so gravy or bolognese sauce wont drip off the edges.The side plates and bowls are equally nicely sized for chinese meals or breakfast or light dessert.There are 6 of each size of plate so plenty for most families.I like that they can be used in microwaves as we often have a late comer to meals who needs to heat their portion up.The set arrives well packaged with polystyrene packed boxes.Very pleased with them.
