I'm part way through installing this system. It's pretty much click and play, really simple to get the basics working. Obviously installing the cables running through the loft and floor spaces is a bit more tricky. The cameras look and feel good quality, the two I have installed provide a great picture quality and the night vision is also very good (note that night vision might not work correctly if you bind together two cables - such as an extension - instead, if you need a longer cable, just buy one long enough so you don't need to connect two together).The motion detection works, I'm still playing with the sensitivity and settings, so I've not finalised it yet. I'm finding some of this a bit complicated and the instructions aren't the clearest, however the support team are really helpful, sending through you tube links and other how to guides when I get stuck.The mobile app is superb quality in terms of picture quality, you can also remotely review recorded footage via the app. I've not managed to get the email and mobile motion detection alarms working yet, but it has the functionality.Great product and value for money.

Having installed the system 2 weeks ago, this is my review of the Sansco D8C41T 8 Channel CCTV system that I bought for £189.99. I added an extra camera to the 4 that came with the package and a wireless mouse. I did quite a bit of research to find a wired system that I could install myself before settling on this Sansco, and can echo, but won’t repeat, many of the positive points that others have identified.The buying and delivery process were excellent both for the main package and a couple of extras that I needed. By far the hardest part in all of this for a 70+ year old was clambering around in the loft to get at the soffits from which to hang the cameras, and drilling through battens behind walls to get camera cables to the DVR.My first impression of the cameras was that they felt solid and looked robust. I accidently put that to the test by dropping one from the top of a ladder directly onto a concrete drive 6 meters below. The paint on the casing was chipped but the camera functioned perfectly! I didn’t test the other 4!The setting up process was quick and easy and within minutes I was viewing images. At normal viewing, I’m very impressed with the sharpness and colour quality of the images both at day and night, and the ability to magnify, but the image quality falls off a little more than I expected under magnification.Motion detection alerts to my iphone and ipad took a few attempts to get right, but now work well other than not being able to see the full detail of alerts on my iphone albeit I get clear images and pings. I’m still working on that.The online manual I used is basic and enough for setting up, but not definitive. Trial and error sorted out most teething problems but the life-saver here was emailing Sansco. I would ask a question the day before, and by morning I received a very helpful reply. I used this a number of times and was very impressed with the support I got. Excellent!I’m delighted with this system. Shall I hold back half a star for a couple of things that could be better? No. In terms of functionality and value for money, I’m happy with 5*. If anything changes my view over the coming months then I’ll update my asessment.

I bought this system after we had something stolen from our garden one night in September 2014. It was easy to set up and works very well, although i have not worked out yet how to set up the online viewing etc, I think i will need plenty of time to work through that. Two months later in December, a fault occurred in the DVR, no pictures on the screen, so i contacted the seller via email through Amazon, after which i sent it back to them, they sent a new one in its place via city link who unfortunately went bust and i had to make a 40 mile trip to pick up the package - twice, first time they were closed. Anyway, through all of this Direct Digi Sales have been excellent in their help with this problem, responding to emails quickly, getting a technician to ring me, and compensating me for the trips i made to pick up the package. So far, the new one is now working fine. The picture quality is good during the day and not to bad at night either. A good price for a good system, fingers crossed.
