Armasight Sidekick 320 Mini Thermal Monocular with Armacore 320 Thermal Core, 3-Button Control, Compass, and Image Detail Enhancement (Gray)

I love this unit. It got me into true thermal, weapons rated caliber performance. Will I use it that way? Unlikely. My interest is in sky gazing, and just seeing what “I can’t see.” It is incredibly well built. It allows you to take pictures or video when you need to. I would have liked to add another thousand for the 640 but the 320 is fine.

Works well

You have to make sure the battery cap is tight or it will not turn on. It is not adaptable to bigger batteries. The mini usb port debris plug doesn’t like to stay in. You really have to find the right cord if you want to run an external power supply because the battery cap is so close to the port and some of the angled plugs will have a hard time reaching the port.

The media could not be loaded. So far this thing is amazing, I am able to see things I wouldn’t have seen before with just my PVS-14. Image quality is eh, you can definitely make out what you are seeing 75 yards and in, past 75 yards you get a hit but it gets harder and harder to see. Image is definitely more clear in person then through my iPhone or uploading the file, bought the rayvn group bridge and for me I am able to co-align the images using the centering function, you do loose some of the screen when you do but in target mode you are able to pick up things you would have missed with out the thermal, overall I am very impressed with this little unit.

It is a great thermal monocular, crisp, seeks heat really well, amazing distance objectivity, etc, I will buy another in the future. However, I hate being lied to, so that's the reason for the 3 stars. It said there was a mount included, which there isn't. Don't say one thing and do another, that's not keeping your word, and thats more important to me than the product. Other than that, great device.
