Makes the ps2 look like it’s in 720p looks amazing color and shadows looks nice also did not have to use the extra power for it work

I connected everything properly and made the necessary adjustments. When I started a game I got the PS2 splash screen and then a "No Connection" screen on my TV. I fiddled with it for over an hour and got nowhere. Back to Amazon.

I have quite a few Bitfunx scalers and connectors for older consoles, including their retro bluetooth dongles, retro N64 and SNES 2X scalers, and the RetroScaler 2X component input device. Most of their products are made well and work great. This product was a big letdown compared to their other products.When I connected it I did get a picture out of it right away, but the picture was pretty dim compared to using component cables. I thought I noticed some weird ghosting so I played around and found that there were strange very thin vertical lines that would pop in and out occasionally over areas of a solid color. I've seen this in low quality adapters before, and after using their other adapters I didn't expect to see this. Additionally this adapter doesn't work at all with 240p signals, so any type of game video output that is 240p will immediately turn the screen black.The build quality is pretty good, but the conversion issues really shocked me considering how well the other Bitfunx scalers work with retro consoles. If you are just looking for a device to convert the most basic Wii output to HDMI and can live with some occasional artifacts this might be an ok buy, but I found its performance at best on par with the cheap Wii -> HDMI adapters. There's a small possibility the device I received was broken, but I think its more likely the adapter as manufactured just doesn't work properly.

Plug and play direct fit to HDMI is nice to have for older consoles and electronics. It works so far, so we'll see if it holds up. The only major issue I have is with the housing being some what loose around where the cable enters into the main box. Wiggles around and it's noticeable, but hasn't/doesn't impact performance from what I can tell, though.
