This lock was a great replacement for a 'hook and eye' lock on a porch screen door. It is solidly made, and was easy to install in a wood door. I like how securely it holds the door closed -- unlike the hook lock, which got ripped out of the wood by the wind. I also love the 'red bronze' finish, and wish that additional door hardware (door handle, hinges) was available in this finish.

Very easy to install. Looks sharp and sleek. We had a screen wooden door that we wanted more security on, and we screwed it high enough to where children couldn't reach it. It makes me feel better about the door. I installed this all by myself with no help. Just needed a screw gun.

We’ve been using this on one of our closet doors that won’t stay shut and it’s really held up great! It holds a lot of pressure without bending!

Does the job but the black coating scrapes off easily to reveal shiny metal.

Sort of holds the door closed but the smallest nudge will bend the flimsy metal and the door can easily be pushed open. Taking it off and returning it is not worth the $10, but honestly this is to maybe keep the door from being open by a draft- nothing stronger than that

This was a great solution. My science glass door has a screen, and my cat can open it and escaped. I couldn’t find a lock that would work this one does.
