Very effective, easy to use
Bought one and screwed up installation, so bought another one and it installed easy in a few minutes, solid unit, and easy buttons to program, it works amazing. The first install was my fault, suggest you use the template to drill the holes....

Think Twice, Unreliable
Didn't last a few months. Customer service is no help. When you ask a question they disrespect you with there reply.

Amazing product
Love being able to have a keypad entry on my gate. The instructions could use some work and a couple more length options for screws would be nice but overall a good product

Excellent customer service.
I ordered the lock and one of the part is broken. I contacted the seller and they responded promptly and sent the replacement quickly. Thank you so much for the excellent customer service. The lock seems to work well. I am happy with the lock and the customer service.

A B*tch to Install
This mechanism seems robust. The unit is heavyweight and seems as if it will prevent the curious opportunist from walking into your yard. That's the positive. Read on if you want to make an informed choice. The instructions have English words. Are they arranged in an order that offers coherent meaning? Not even a little. I don't know if American companies are as guilty of this sin as the maker of this item, but if this is AI translated the computers will never be able to take over the world. It's so bad that it MUST have been a human effort by someone that thinks s/he speaks English. I'm sure they're better at English than I am in their language, but they are not up to the task of writing an instructional manual.I had read other criticisms of the instructions. I pridefully dismissed those "wimps" because I am mechanically inclined and thought that I'd get through it if there were diagrams to augment the poor language. There are diagrams. Are they instructional? Not a whit. Now, often if I run into bad directions I can google and find a kind soul that's put up an instructional video. No such luck here. The search sends you to the videos that are on Amazon, which will offer a glimpse of what reading the instructions is going to feel like.Clarification on the passcode if you are attempting to install this:You can pick as many or as few buttons as you want to be a part of your passcode. They are not ordered. So, if your phone number ended in 1234, you could choose those as your digits so you'd be sure to remember the passcode. But it doesn't matter in what order they're pushed in. 4-3-2-1, 4-2-1-3, 3-4-2-1, no matter. It will work as long as all four are punched in.You choose your digits/letters by turning the buttons on the back so that the little dot is on the side of the number or letter (this diagram is actually the highlight of the instructions, as it is helpful to envision your end goal). The true issue I ran into is that I had to flip the handle. It says it comes as right hand. I don't know if someone had received this and switched it before I got it, but I had to flip everything around even though I have right hand installation.Switching the part on the back, the large metal plate that is the actual barrier, is intuitive and simple (the instructions are word salad so you'll be figuring this out on your own, but you can).Switching the handle? I have no flipping clue. I took the whole thing apart because I was so stymied. I fiddled and diddled around for a long time. This is very unusual for me, as I can usually figure things out easily. You'd think, having finally succeeded in flipping the mechanism, I'd offer clear instructions here to help my fellow travelers.I can't. I did succeed, but I have no idea what I did to make it so. Really. I don't know. I will lose hours of sleep over this.So it's been on my gate for about an hour. I hope it works for a long time. I will return to inform you if it fails.I don't feel like I can really recommend this item, since there's every chance you won't be able to get it to work for you. But I am keeping it, so...

Dead on arrival, hostile chat support
Manual is unintelligible, not proof read for fluency in English, no technical knowledge available from Vevor chat support, and support support was abusive, even threatening, in poor English. At their request I provided the Vevor part number, the Amazon order number and then they could still not identify the item."Support" video posted at Amazon for this specific product illustrates a totally different electronic lock operated via iPhone. Primitive, unmanaged customer support from the stone age. Looks like someone tried to build a nice lock (or hacked someone else's design). Too bad it does not work. Listed as "frequently returned item." Beware.
