This is a really excellent step ladder for the house-holder or even, I suppose, a builder.The steps are a textured rubber which gives a good grip on your shoes. The vertical distance between the steps is not that much which makes for added ease of use. There are side rails towards the top that make the ladder so much safer. And the tray at the very top is just right for a can of paint or whatever. It’s not the lightest of ladders but it is worth trading weight for its safety features. I speak with some conviction because I am an ever so slightly doddery seventy-seven-year-old.Assembling it was a bit of a struggle, but if I could do it, anyone can. What the instruction booklet doesn’t make clear is that the two short bolts fit the top handrail. The other four (longer) bolts are for the safety rails. Fitting the bolts into the holes and getting them to line up nicely with the hole on the other side to take the screw can be a bit of a fiddle. Otherwise, no complaints.

Easy to build. Well packed. Very sturdy and safe. Have had one set for 7 months and due to my confidence in them gave them to my son who had some flimsy aluminium ones. Hence this new purchase.Only drawback was ordered them so I would be at home and Amazon delivered a day early. Not the suppliers fault. Fortunately where we live is quiet, yet had been left propped against front door in view of everyone. Delivery stated left with neighbour!!! There they were to greet me as arrived home late Sunday evening. If expected delivery Monday why deliver Sunday!!!

Overall this is a solid ladder and a good purchase. It was easy to setup out of the box. However, one of the handle grips was ripped, as shown in photo, perhaps due to excessive use of sellotape wrapping. Given the size and hassle of returning the whole ladder, I decided to live with it.

Excellent ladders

Needed to paint my porch and didn't want to use a regular ladder as it's a bit unsafe for elderly people. This stepladder is brilliant - feel really safe on it with the handrails. It's also sturdy so you don't feel like it's going to fall over.There are 6 screws - keep the 4 longer ones for the handrails and use the 2 shorter ones for attaching the top bit. When attaching the top bit take off the plastic and the black rubber covers. The top then slots in.When screwing in use the 2 Allen keys - one to hold one side while screwing in other side.The ladder will be really useful around the house to reach ceilings etc.Can't wait to fix up my porch now.

This item took a few weeks to arrive, but when it did arrived it came well packaged , it come almost complete you only have to add side hand rails and top part with tray, securing the bolts to handrails are tricky but it's just a matter of manoeuvring them into place, once done they make the ladder very sturdy, you may need another person to hold them as you attach them ,wider steps make going up and down a lot easier and the centre locking system , that clicks into place is perfect, good safty ladder well priced so I am happy to recommend this item.
