When I put them on the first thing I noticed was is that the pinky finger is a lot longer than my pinky finger. However I'm not going to send them back because the other fingers seem to work just fine.The left hand is the one that has special padding to keep the chainsaw from cutting your fingers off. The right hand has the typical Kevlar and goat skin type protection. The right hand is the one that handles the trigger on the chainsaw. The left hand holds the bar.Any glove made with goat skin and Kevlar is going to be fantastic. I am very pleased with these and can't wait to use them. For years I've used full leather cowboy gloves. The problem with leather gloves is they certainly do not offer all that much protection and will not keep your hands terribly warm in cold weather.These gloves are well worth the money. Whether you're someone who is new to chainsaw work or has done a lot of it I think you will really like these things.

Update: after 1 year -- I still like the gloves. Fortunately never had an accident to fully test them... but the grip part of the material fell apart in one year. I suppose it's not too bad considering the usage

These gloves are comfortable, nice padding and better than expected at around fifty percent the cost of others. Glad I purchased them will likely replace them with same when needed. Have only cut with them two days but can tell they’re a quality glove.

After decades of having used chainsaws on and off I finally decided to buy a pair of gloves with some additional protection instead of continuing with leather gloves. These seem solid and hopefully will protect me should I slip somewhere and have a hand get in the way of the chain.Update: After looking at the pictures supplied by dissatisfied reviewers, I realized that the majority seem to be of a slightly different design than the updated ones I received with reinforced fingertips. I may end up having to supply a second update after I have used this pair for a while.

Don't use for lifting limbs. I got holes after one day use.
