TIMCO Weatherproof Padlock - 40mm [Energy Class A]

Amazing and strongly built

Fitted this to an outside shed and when I came to unlock it after the first rain water dripped out of the lock so it's not even slightly weatherproof. It will probably rust solid in a few months. EDIT: As predicted one of the locks seized up due to water ingress and the key snapped in half trying to unlock it. Absolute rubbish, do not buy this tat.

It's still too early to comment on its ability to withstand theweather but it looks like it will do the job.One thing to look out for is that it has a rubber ring round the latch which I had to remove before putting on and then attaching it again before locking the padlock.

Locks works great except doesn't stay water proof it began to rust just after a couple of weeks so the covers don't protect the lock , I purchased for garden gate and can't use it of fear of jot being able to take it back off , I used wd40 to loosen the rust but will not use now even tried to put a bag over it but no good l.

Do not buy, not a good quality outdoor lock. Bought this in August 2023 and by December 2023 it had rusted in multiple areas and was now impossible to close. Terrible quality!

I have bought 2 of these and both have failed to lock after 2 weeks of use. The shaft does not return to the lock position after been opened. Amazon have replaced 1 and now have to go to Timco to get it sorted. not even worth 1 star
