Good product. Strongly suggested.
So far it has worked flawlessly. No more 4 cylinder mode, and the difference in performance is very noticeable. Only 0.3 decrease in fuel economy. Definitely a good temporary solution.

Worked Perfectly on 2007 Chevy Silverado
Bought a used Silverado with 123K on it, got my LS engine but I really wanted a 2006 to avoid the DoD/Cylinder Shutdown early or late in life disasters that seem to occur on many of these engines since designed in. Popped this puupy in my ODB port and did have some scares of what might unentionally happen but its been smooth sailing over 5-6 months. Now I have 8 cylinder power always and can get out of the way of train/car/bus/moster that is coming at me or have full towing power always when I need it.There's probably a Billion$ industry of endless companies that make DOD/cyclinder shutdown deactivation or removal. The Feds oush this mandate garbage on us and the Auto mfgs and iy costs the average Joe a fortune to fix the damage it does. The resultant gas one might save from keeping DoD on is not even a rounding error to what it will cost you to fix your enegein when the funky oil driven special spring loaded lifters fail....and they will fail either on thier own faulty design or earlier if you dont change oil on scheduale or sooner. This is a quick great fix. But if you already have a failing DoD lifter ( by evidence of the ticking sound under the valve cover), this may buy you a bit of time but wont prevent the lifter failing. Not a fault o the product, its all on the faulty design of the liter. If it has not started failing you are probably okay the rest of your cars/trucks life with this.

Works flawlessly and NO battery drain!
This unit works by telling your computer that you are always in "tow mode". Thus your truck will not turn off any cylinders. A side effect is that you get a slight lag when accelerating. No big deal at all, but when your truck is in "tow mode" it adjusts that lag and holds 1st gear for a fraction of a second longer. I have been using this for 9 months and I highly recommend this dongle.

Works but could be better
Works as described. I just wish there was a did rent way to tell that it’s working rather then the two small lights that are not bright and can’t tell if there on.

Essential AFM/DFM Disabler for 2014 Silverado LTZ Owners
I recently installed the AFM/DFM Disabler on my 2014 Chevrolet Silverado LTZ 1500, and I couldn't be happier with the results. This little device has been a game-changer for my truck's performance, and here's why I believe it deserves a solid 5-star rating.Pros:Improved Performance: Almost immediately, I noticed a significant improvement in my truck's performance. The disabler effectively shuts off the Active Fuel Management (AFM) or Dynamic Fuel Management (DFM) system, allowing my engine to run on all cylinders at all times. The result is a smoother and more powerful ride, especially when towing or hauling heavy loads.Engine Health: By keeping all cylinders active, the AFM/DFM Disabler helps reduce wear and tear on the engine. This is especially beneficial for those who want to preserve their vehicle's engine life and maintain optimal performance levels.Ease of Installation: The device was incredibly straightforward to install. It plugs directly into the OBD-II port, and there's no need for any permanent modifications or professional assistance. Anyone with basic mechanical knowledge can have it up and running in under 10 minutes.Fuel Economy: Although the truck does consume slightly more fuel due to the continuous use of all cylinders, the trade-off is well worth it for the enhanced power and driving experience it offers. Plus, the fuel consumption isn't drastically higher – just something to keep in mind.Cons:Battery Drain: One potential drawback to be aware of is the battery drain issue. If your Silverado isn't driven regularly, the disabler continues to draw power, which can eventually deplete the battery. However, this can easily be mitigated by unplugging the device if the truck won't be used for an extended period.Check Engine Light (CEL): Some users have reported that installing the disabler can cause the CEL to illuminate. I haven't encountered this issue myself, but it’s worth noting. If you do see the CEL, a quick diagnostics check should identify the cause. Conclusion:The AFM/DFM Disabler is a fantastic addition to any 2014 Silverado LTZ 1500 owner's toolkit. The marked improvement in performance, engine health, and the ease of installation make it a worthwhile investment. While the potential for battery drain is a consideration, it's a minor inconvenience compared to the benefits. Just be mindful if your truck will sit idle for long periods.Overall, I highly recommend the AFM/DFM Disabler for anyone looking to enhance their driving experience and maintain their engine’s longevity. Hands down, a 5-star product!
