I really like this daily journal to accompany my Bible reading. I can note the passage read, reflect upon it briefly, then write a short prayer of thanks. Then comes a list of 3 blessings, 1 major goal, and 3 priorities along with a reward when finished. At the end of the week is a retrospective then a prospective for the coming week. These are all just the right length for me.I selected the Men’s even though I’m a woman because I preferred the displayed images. The Women’s version has flowery images and requires a bit more writing.Some might be put off by the cardboard front and back of the journal. The pages are sewn together, which is a preferable binding to glue. The individual pages are a good weight, and thus far my gel ink has not bled through. I can see a woman wanting to take a few extra minutes to color the images on her daily pages, should she have time for that.The journal is designed for only a portion of the year and can be easily replaced. The publisher sells binders (brown for men, aqua for women—and I would purchase the aqua; they pegged me correctly there) into which this journal can slide. I do not mind the cardboard cover binding the journal.I do not yet know if I will repurchase this journal. I tend to want changes as my year changes. I would prefer a looseleaf version that I could use with one of the leather binders that I currently have. If the publisher creates a looseleaf version, that I will certainly buy.The review is suggesting ideas to present, like color, smell, and softness. The journal is black & white. It has no real smell. The hard cardboard front and back makes it not soft. The publisher’s available binder would address color and softness.

It’s a beautiful journal and a very useful tool for spiritual and personal growth. The pen it’s very nice although I don’t know if the type of refill can be purchased separately as it’s unique design. The vegan leather looks nice but with time feels cheap and eventually will brake especially if you carry it like I do in my bag, for the $36 one of the highest listed on Amazon but I would pay a little extra for a real leather that will out last the writing book. All and all it’s a very good starting point to get you in journaling your thoughts and spiritual journey.

The Journal is a well constructed item. I have always had difficulty with consistently using a journal so I am more concerned about developing the habit of journaling than about every detail of the Journal’s design.Thus far I have only one minor complaint—- the Journal is laid out based on a Monday to Sunday calendar week. I follow the Biblical calendar where Sunday is the first day of the week, and Saturday is the last.

Good product for any man looking to organize his Devotional and/or Prayer life. Nicely packaged. I bought it as a gift for my brother and will be buying myself one as well.

I've been using this for 2 months now and I honestly love it. It really helps with organization of reading, giving me the opportunity to journal my thoughts in a constructive way, and organize other aspects of my life (what do I need to do today, what am I thankful for, etc.)2 reasons I cannot give this 5 stars: 1 minor, 1 major.First, the pen sent with it is inconsistent with writing. I love the weight, I love the look, but the writing of the pen leaves a lot to be desired...nothing crazy bad though.Secondly, the major complaint. The months in the book are organized in 4 week blocks. Only 1 month has 4 even weeks in it. This leads to months running over into the next "month" in the journal. If I were to offer feedback to the manufacturer, give us 31 days in each month block. 7 months out of the year have 31 days, the rest can just leave the pages blank or crossed out. The week blocks can still be organized after every 7th day, nothing would change with that.
