Bosch 11264EVSRT 1-5/8 in. SDS-max Rotary Hammer (Renewed)

Bought it to dig out an area to extend my driveway. Worked extremely well. Also helped with drilling through concrete and breaking up small rocks. I couldn't be more pleased.

Note: if you’re looking for an SDS “Max” drill...this is NOT what you want. This is an SDS “Plus”drill. Great drill. Great company...Bosch. Very poor choice of name by the marketing folks at Bosch...calling this the “Bulldog Extreme Max”. It’s not a “Max” drill. Called Bosch customer service...they agreed.

I needed to clear some rocks from the property and bought this unit to drill holes for wedging or demolition grouting the ones too big to manually dig out. I saved some $$ by getting the reconditioned model and have been extremely pleased with its performance. At time of purchase it looked brand new, performed like new and continues to handle everything I throw at it.

I can't believe I haven't always owned this tool. Having moved to an area where the soil contains a lot of clay, digging trenches, even postholes, had been a pain until my electricians showed up and I saw this tool at work. I bought one the next day and haven't regretted it for a minute! The clay spade is so far the favorite, but I also bought the bits for drilling masonry to add rebar. Highly recommend!

I Used it to bust out several different sections of concrete in a bathroom remodel I’m doing. I’ve used a small Bosch hammer drill for 6 years now to do similar projects even chipping out some concrete. This one will definitely make my job easier and I hope it holds up as well as my small one has with the abuse I put it through. Especially that there not particularly made for what I use them for. I own a lot of Bosch tools they have always held up and paid for themselves. This is the first refurbished tool I’ve bought but almost paid for itself already with what I would have spent renting a jackhammer.

Bosch is one of my *very* favorite tool manufacturers so when I needed to drive several ground rods, I needed a reasonably large hammer drill. As a tool collector, I prefer to buy instead of renting the usual junk at the rental yards and at the 400 buck price I couldn't resist. I have a smaller Bosch hammer drill and like it very much (f you aren't careful and get a large bit stuck, it could break your arm it has so much torque.)So back to this guy. It's quite heavy which helps whatever you are hammering and/or hammer-drilling. For a reconditioned tool, this looked almost brand new. It does come with a case. As the picture indicates, the green light (now an empty hole) by the handle that indicates the tool has AC power fell out - it's either inside the handle or actually fell out on the ground. This was a big surprise which is why I didn't give this five stars.Bottom line: very happy with my purchase and recommend it without hesitation.
