Bought to rehab a baby and it grew up in the box, still goes in the box when it’s cold and rainy.

It’s quite small for squirrels to comfortably live in, but it did provide a hangout spot for a juvenile squirrel - he seemed to enjoy it. Well built for the money, and has a critter guard which is very important for squirrel safety. There is a slit on the side of the box that rain can get into, so be aware of that. Also, squirrels like to chew the shelves inside, which exposes tiny nails that could harm them. Be sure to look inside periodically to clip the exposed nails, which are about the width of a staple - very easy to snip. Overall, would recommend given the price and quality of the wood.

They now use this house instead of our attic.

I purchased 3 squirrel nesting boxes. This one is well designed but light weight, thin wooded box. Upon arrival the door was cracked where the screw holds it on. I had to glue and staple it together. This is partly due to thin wood, and also due to an either non-pre drilled hole or off center screw placement. A good design just a bit light duty compared to the other 2 I purchased.

This was easy to install (if you have the right spot and a good ladder). It came exactly as advertised and we love it.Cute Backstory….We had a squirrel come onto our screened-in back porch and make a nest up in the rafters during a huge storm the other night. My daughter spotted it and reluctantly told me because she knew I would relocate him. I had to promise her I’d get the cute little fella a new home, so I ordered this one and it was on my porch when I woke up! Hope he likes it!

This was a gift for my son and he absolutely loves it.
