Bought to convert into an RAF Sentry

Absolutely massive model arrived very quick

This model is BIG, with wingspan about 2ft and fuselage a tad more - you get a heck of a lot of plastic for your money and once built it will almost certainly dominate your collection. The tooling is quite old but stands up well to scrutiny, the model going together without too much difficulty. There are recessed panel lines. The size means that the wing-fuselage join needs to be really strong and properly aligned, and a bit of filler may be necessary here, although having a one-piece lower centre section makes this as easy as possible to get right. This boxing of the model comes with two decal sheets, one for the grey USAF version illustrated on the box lid, with an alternative of an attractive NATO 50th anniversary livery, with a dark blue upper fuselage and a row of member country flags down its length. Alternative engine pylons and casings are provided for these two versions.

Nice size plastic model kit but it’s a basic kit. Parts not in bags , just rattling around

Got this as I had the Airfix release many years ago so wanted another go at one.This being the Heller version it has the engines only for the original US and Nato version not the engines for the RAF version.On the up side the decals are good with a very dramatic Nato scheme and it is a very large model when built,however the fit in some places was showing it`s age mainly around the wings to fuselage join which needed a lot of filler.But it does look good swinging from the ceiling.
