Good quality. Always keep one around as a replacement for your AC unit. If your AC quits blowing cold then this can often be the culprit. Your blower might still work and the fan or visa versa. This can save you a lot of money from the HVAC guy coming over this summer; that's if you have a few skills to change it. Take pic of where the wires connect to old one then take off for new one or change each wire one at a time. Make sure to pull breaker or turn off all power to the AC before you mess with it. This is a capacitor for the fan motor for my outside AC unit. Good news! We got it right the first time. I had to replace the fan motor as well, but it’s generally a good idea to replace both at the same time, which I did. It was apparently a $15 fix. The fan motor was considerably more, but now I’m all set in that department.

This was a straight-forward replacement of the old capacitor. The motor would hum but the fan wouldn't turn on. All one has to do is to disable the power going into the unit, usually an outside switch. Then take pictures to match which wire goes to which of the 2, 3 or 4 male pins. Save yourself hundreds of dollars for a part that costs inexpensively. Would've have cost me easily in the area of $200+ for an HVAC tech to show up, diagnose, and replace a $20 part.
