I bought this item b/c the vitamin B12 is "methylated," and in most B Complex products on the market the B12 is in its non-methylated form (called Cyanocobalomine.) By getting it in its methylated form, two or three steps in the biochemical process of metabolic assimilation are bypassed. Some people are naturally "poor methylators" and cannot convert/assimilate B12 in its Cyanocobalomine form. And without a couple hundred dollars worth of tests, you do not know whether or not you are a "poor methylator." So it is always best to buy a vitamin in which the B12 has already been methylated. I like this product. Wife and I ahve switched to it exclusively as our B-Complex vitamin.

Very strong smell though...

These are a great value for the price. They are methylated B vitamins so are more readily absorbable by more people. Some people have a genetic factor that prevents them from absorbing B vitamins. I dont know if I do or not so just got the better absorbed ones just in case.

The only brand I will take

The dose amount is 2 capsules and there are 240 capsules. I bought this brand instead of the usual brand I get because of the value and the amount of mg per dose. It has more mg in most if not all of the vitamins listed compared to my other brand. The other brand is identical as far as it being methylated and also has Vitamin C (esterified). Unfortunately it is not working for me. About 30 minutes after taking a dose, 2 capsules, I felt like I suddenly sunburned, itchy, and nauseous, and a headache. I did not realize it was the vitamin b3 or niacin until the next day. I decided to take my old brand dose and there was no issues. Then the following day I took this brand. The same thing happened. The next day I decided to take 1 capsule after researching and realizing what too much vitamin b3 or niacin can do to a person which is a burning sensation on the skin like a sunburn, itching, headache, nausea, dizziness. I guess I will have to go back to the old brand. The good side is that I know there is vitamin b3 in this brand. lol The other thing is apparently I'm getting enough vitmain b3. Also I see comments about an odor or bad taste. I don't get that. Good product and I wish I could continue with it. I do want to add I had been taking the old brand for about 6 months without any issues like with this brand.
