Brilliant, beautiful set! If you have the time and patience you’ll have a lots of fun and you’ll be delighted with the final result. Good instructions overall. There were some defect bricks, but it wasn’t a problem as there were plenty of extras so no need to use a no good brick.

The ship looks good. The sea bed was easy to build but the reeds don't stay where they are supposed to be positioned.The sea was quite difficult to do and requires a lot of patience.The worst part for me was attaching the sails to the ship. I made the sails the first time and attached them to the ship and they all collapsed as they are not very well balanced with the supporting bricks. I then attempted it a second time and again the sails came crashing down everywhere. At this point I had to hide it in a cupboard as it annoyed me when I looked at it.I eventually got it back out and done the sails a 3rd time to which it collapsed again. At this point I just used the pieces left to make the base of the sails more structurally sound and left the laddered side of the large sails off as they would not stay on. I would suggest to maybe glue the sail supports as they are too flimsy.I also found a few of the Lego pieces were deformed, didn't fit properly and were unusable.I would say it is for adults and older children as it is very fiddly.

The media could not be loaded. Brilliant kit, it does say for ages 6+ but there's just no way. 14+ maybe. ... Lots of intricate details, some steps in the instructions didn't quite add up but it wasn't end of build problems just had to think a bit harder and use visual reference of the box it came in. Detail level is awesome. The water line is definitely the hardest part to build and there was no way my 10 year old could have done it (he's clever but it was very much out of his depth) ..... Value for money was excellent and I would consider getting a kit from the same manufacturer again. My son's really happy with it as am I.

I am in the middle of building it right now and it is quite a challenge but looking better and better as I go. I think it will take me some time to finish but hopefully it will be worth it in the end and I can put it on display for everyone to see!

I brought this for a christmas present so it didnt get opened in the timeframe but it was missing one of the biggest pieces in the pack

Looks amazing finished but the sea was tough

Great time waster

My 17 year old daughter fly's through Lego sets,this took her a week to do. Would highly recommend for any Lego enthusiast wanting a challenge. Would make a fantastic gift.
