Perfect Gift for golfers!!
My grandpa recently had surgery and isn't able to play much golf outside yet, so i got him this to practice with for his bday and he loves it!! He said it wasn't too fast/slow and the ball comes back about 10ft to you, to put back up. Perfect gift!! Will most likely get another for my brothers for xmas!

Fore! - Taming the Beast of the Green with the Y-Nut Automatic Putting Cup
Oh, my fellow lovers of the greens, do I have a titillating tale of trials and triumphs for you! Now, when I first laid my eyes on the Y-nut Golf Automatic Putting Cup, I thought to myself, "Surely, this gadget can't replace the thrill of putting on a real golf course." But, behold! I dared to venture into this technological landscape. First off, let's talk practicalities. Powered by batteries, this putting cup allows you to practice sans interruptions, no cord tangles to break your flow. Straightaway, I set up my mini-golf course in the comfort of my living room. Though, mind you, the wife wasn't exactly thrilled with the new "interior decoration."It's got an adjustable gravity ball return, folks. You heard me right. This function allows you to control how quickly your balls are returned to you. I was so delighted by this feature that I nearly forgot about the harsh reality of my golf balls usually residing in a pond. The product's indoor and outdoor compatibility is a real gem. Imagine, putting practice under the soft glow of the setting sun in your backyard. Or, if you're like me and live in the city, where 'backyard' is a luxury, you can effortlessly practice in your corridor or living room. All in all, the Y-Nut Automatic Putting Cup is a nifty gadget for golf enthusiasts who, like myself, have a day job and can't always make it to the greens. It fits right in with my evening routine of sipping some Earl Grey and practicing my short game. Plus, it offers a brilliant solution to the age-old problem of losing golf balls (and dignity) in water hazards. In short, it doesn't entirely replace the thrill of a real course, but it gets surprisingly close. Not good
The putted ball either couldn't go up the steep putting slope or would bounce out rather than the way it was supposed to be automatically returned.

Worked well for a short time!
This Y-nut auto putting cup worked well for a few days. I used this for the 3-4 year old kids I work with and would let them putt. It was a big hit until it shot back a putt, and then it started making a loud clicking sound. When I picked it up and looked at it, it wasn't pulling the little "hammer" back (the piece that strikes the ball to send it back). I ended up opening it up and found a small plastic piece had broken on the inside. I was unable to fix, so it can longer be used. I am giving 3 stars because the kids really had fun playing with it when it worked.

too loud
The battery motor is annoyingly loud and the receptacle does not collect the ball if your speed is off.

Takes two AA batteries which are needed to retract the ball striker mechanism.
This review is for Y-nut Golf Automatic Putting Cup with Adjustable Gravity Ball Return, $23 on amazon. My nephew-in-law is the golf nut in the family. He will get this putting practice cup as a Christmas gift. You need to provide your own two AA batteries for this to work. When the ball lands on the cup there is a small dimple at the rear that holds the ball in position so it presses against a small tongue at the rear of the cup. Pressing that tongue releases a spring-loaded striker that shoots the ball back to the golfer. The battery power then retracts the striker back so it is ready for the next ball to land.I’d love to tell you how far back the ball is shot on bare floor and carpet but I don’t own a golf ball. Sorry . . .The amazon description says that this is “Adjustable”. I don’t see anything on it that can be adjusted. I suppose you could place something under it to adjust the tilt but beyond that I don’t see any adjustment mechanism.
