Beware! I bought two sets of these cartridges. The first set I put in my printer in July of 2024 and they worked great. As a kindergarten special education teacher I have printed so much in color over this past year. I couldn't believe how long the ink lasted. It finally ran out (It's mid-April) and I put in the second set of cartridges. The printer rejected them because they are not HP. I do not know why it took the first set, but not the second set.

I have been searching all over for a compatible cartridges for an HP Office Jet, Model #6978 [FAX, COPY & PRINT]. These actually work with the firmware. All you have to do is select 'ACCEPT' on the screen. If you are like me, you are probably sick and tired of HP updating firmware so you can't use compatible cartridges. It's not fair to the consumers who can't afford their higher prices. I now figured out not to accept any updates from HP, especially those that say 'THIS WILL IMPROVE YOUR PRINTING QUALITY'. If any updates are auto pushed to your printer and you see the words 'UPDATING', pull the plug.

Just to be clear I have made sure that my officejet pro 6978 firmware was NOT updated and set to not update because of the so called security risk that HP implies about using third party ink when in fact they prefer to have a business model of ripping off their customers on ink and selling user data to third parties. I digress.I believe most people have issues with third party ink because they most likely upgraded their printers firmware to the latest, and that’s a huge mistake. HP has gone on record saying they will block third party ink with their latest firmware update despite the fact it’s ILLEGAL and anti competitive.So FYI if you read bad reviews on this ink, it’s because of user error NOT because of the ink.REVIEW: I was really impressed by how compact the ink was in the container. The installation was easy. I installed each cartridge one at a time. And allowed the printer to do its thing setting up the ink. Of course I get the warning that factory ink isn’t being used and I just skip past that warning.I’ve done some test prints and all is well. I’m very impressed and happy with the purchase and I will get more again when I need it.

These ink cartridges did not work in my HP Office Jet Printer. I'm giving the 5 stars for the company. I'll explain. I bought these last year and didn't try to use them until early January. They did not work and it was too late to return them so I just threw them away and wrote a bad review. A few weeks later I get an email asking me if I would like a refund. I responded yes of course thinking, yeah right, that'll never happen. Guess what, this company gave me my money back. Now that's a good man right there. I wish I could meet them one day and shake their hand.

On the 902 ink cartridges they sold me this crap knowing my HP would not accept it and now that it’s opened I can’t return it. I think that’s crap. It is not compatible with an HP. It doesn’t have the chip in the ink cartridge. I would’ve gave them zero stars if I could.

Great ink

I have always purchased original HP ink toners. For those who know, these can get expensive VERY quickly. I had been on the fence about the off brand ink toner replacements, but for the price and the other positive reviews I decided to take a leap of faith with this product.I was very surprised the installation was accepted by the printer. There was a message displayed mentioning that HP is not responsible for print quality due to non original HP toner. The final detail I really appreciate is that these ink cartridges are semi clear allowing you to see exactly how much ink you have versus the blacked out cartridges supplied by HP.Other than that, the initial print outs are coming out amazingly clear and are meeting expectations.
