Works well for grassy areas.

Let me first say I have a yard with two sweet gum trees (the kind with the annoying prickly balls that feel like ball bearings under foot) and an oak tree. Suffice it to say I am no stranger to cleaning up branches, leaves and all manner of acorns and burrs. I have tried every solution under the sun to clean my yard efficiently, but only end up with a very sore back at the end of the day. This tool has made my life infinitely easier. They pick up a large amount of plant matter per scoop and can even get the dreaded burrs and acorn tops that litter my yard. Plus when not in use they stand up on their own, so you don’t have to bend over to get them or lean them up hoping they won’t fall. They are a little heavier than I anticipated, but I’ll take sore forearms over an aching back any day of the week. For the price, I can’t see a better solution to cleaning up yard waste. I highly recommend them if you have a lot of trees!

This is a decent pickup tool for leaves and small brush. Even though it’s metal it could be sturdier.

A good idea, with poor construction. I got this in a box with holes and tears. Not the companys' fault. Mail services are tossing these boxes around to put speed ahead of care to the package.The clamshell leaf scissors were put together easy enough by me. Problem is that it is not sturdy enough to keep it from bending at the x part that pivots to grab the leaves. This is light weight enough though. The clamshells colored in medium gray are just barely strong enough for a woman to use. I fear that some men will muscle this too much and end up with bent clams which will render it useless. For updates to strengthen this unit, will add costs beyond the need to get one. Nice idea but a bit weak in materials. Maybe use it with the idea of picking up less leaves and extending the life of the tool.

I noticed a couple of reviews complained about the weight. I didn’t have any trouble with that. And it saved a lot of time I would love to see them, make a full-size version with a rake attachment.

I can’t believe how much use I am getting out of this handy garden/yard pick up tool. The quality is great they are heavy duty, just wish the handles were a little longer. But I use them alll the time.

Did not work very well.

I can pick up all the fall leaves and debris without straining my back... I purchased my first one of these a number of years ago when the bottom part was made of plastic... loved it then but the plastic didn't last. Was sooo happy when they came out with the new design where the bottom part is all metal. I now have two of these... just in case one happens to break. I doubt that will ever happen... but I am prepared with a backup just in case. Absolutely love this device and don't know how I ever got along without it.
