I bought this for my mum, who is now in her nineties and suffers in hot weather in her small and stuffy cottage. I have to say, it is a million times more effective than I was hoping for. Her living room is a long, narrow area and I was just expecting to get one end cooled down a bit but it is really effective over the whole room.Two slight negatives: 1. there is the necessity to vent it through a window, which entails a bit of fussing around and means it can't be left in place overnight on the ground floor. It only fits easily in a sliding window so if you have the more common hinge-opening types then you'll need to do a bit of cobbling to get it sorted out, and 2. it is a bit noisy (but no more so than the fans she was using before, which didn't help at all).These small issues are no price at all to pay for the enormously increased comfort in the room. She is thrilled with it.

The unit isnt as loud as I thought from reading the other comments allowing me to enjoy a peaceful and cool nights sleepOverall, I am extremely satisfied with my new air conditioner and would highly recommend it to anyone in need of a reliable and efficient cooling solution.

It's a bit loud, cools a decent size room, works okay, it is rather heavy, controls are easy to understand, price is fine, plastic bits provided for the evacuation hose won't fit most UK windows, definitely keep that in mind, as this is an air conditioning unit expect usage of 900w.

I bought this Air Conditioner last week for my Home office.I have not tried it out fully yet due to only being March but I am already very impressed with this. The packaging is very well made to ensure nothing is broken in transit. It just comes out of the box and all you need to do it attach the vent hose to the back with a slide on clip. This is very handy for storage too as it just slides off at the rail. The unit itself is small and compact which makes it very easy to wheel around the house / flat. However don’t be underestimated by the size of to the power it has to cool. In a few seconds of turning it on and hearing the unit start up you can almost instantly feel the cooler air hitting you and the warmer air being vented out. In a few minutes it really is very cool and you can start to feel the difference it is making. It has two speed settings which are both powerful, Sleep function which is very good as the speed turns right down to ensure you are kept cool but no disturbed as well as a dehumidifier and a general fan.Overall very happy with this and I look forward to using it fully in summer.

The unit is fantastic, very good at cooling down a small flat. It is pretty damn noisy, doesn’t bother me but worth bearing in mind.The exhaust hose it comes with is garbage, far too short and stiff to be feasible really and horrendous to adjust. I ended up buying a replacement 150mm 3m PVC hose from toolstation for a tenner- this works but is slightly too wide, so duct tape was required to properly fix it to the back of the unit. Solution works though.The photos say you get dual window fittings, for sliding AND hinged windows. This is categorically false, you only get the sliding so I had to source the hinged one myself for an extra 15 quid from the range. Other reviews mention this as well so not just a flash in the pan.Would recommend but be aware you may need to spend 25 pound more to set it up fully!

I bought this in March when it was on offer and it's now earning its keep in the house. Our loft bedroom gets particularly unbearable in summer though it is only the past few days that have necessitated me setting up. It's a very heavy unit but once lifted up the stairs, unboxing was easy and it was straightforward to move around. Set up was easy and one major bonus was the free window vent kit - this sits in the gap in the window and funnels the hot air out. Once it was up and running, it made an immediate difference to the room, making night-time bearable. I was impressed that it worked in an awkward shaped room where the open staircase might let a lot of the effect dissipate - it still made a big difference. I used the air-con in conjunction with a ceiling fan to get an even flow throughout the room, and this meant that the air was needlessly dry (though a bucket of cold water in the room is another answer to the problem). Very happy with this purchase, especially as I bought it when it was much cheaper than the current price.

Not sure on the other reviews but bought this for the reviews that I couldn’t see mentioned the inward and outward opening windows issue (sash or sliding probably OK). This doesn’t securely fit what is probably 95% of UK windows, only other option is some tacky tape and sheer you’d need to buy separately. We did consider that route until we turned it on to test and ridiculously noisy. Couldn’t hear the TV over the noise and no way we’d be able to sleep next to the equilvent of a jumbo jet taking off next to my pillow. Couldn’t comment on the temperature as we didn’t get that far and packaged it up (which took about 45 mins - as you can imagine trying to get the fiddly pieces into the original box and packaging). What a waste is time and really disappointed after reading the reviews. Don’t like to think of us being fussy, just like to buy what it says on the tin - and this isn’t it unless the issues won’t affect you.
