LOVE LOVE this story. Dax is one of my favorite male leads, *sigh
Maggie - Stories Behind the Veil by Violet. I specifically chose this book when I read that the author used to be a wedding planner. However, once I started the book, I forgot about the wedding planning topic as I was sucked into Maggie’s story. It was painful to read about her relationship with Gerry, but it helped you understand her baggage and reactions to things Dax would do or say. I was ready to smack her daughter but the author did a great job of explaining both points of views. I loved her friends that stayed with her through everything and were always there to help her.Dax was one of my favorite heros. Not a hero like Thor, but relationship hero. His actions were those that I treasure in a spouse. I think my favorite scene was when he came back in from the truck and said he didn’t want to leave while she was upset; he wanted to be with her. *sigh. My tie for first place was when he fell off the horse. His backstory surprised me and broke my heart. It was so beautiful when he shared it with her. These characters have stayed with me and I am telling everyone they need to read Maggie’s story.Sexual content 4, several physical scenes, several situations where she is thinking in detail.Alcohol - minor, casual drinking, responsible drinkingLanguage 3– sh&t – 7 times, d@mn – 41, b*tch – 3 timesYou can see my full review at More Than a Review dot com where I rate the level of sex, violence, language and drug/alcohol use in books.

Really good and hot!
The romance was sizzling throughout the book and it was a joy to see Tyler and Cable! I enjoyed it.

A seasoned romance for non-seasoned readers!
I love the Tales Behind the Veils series! With Maggie as the main character, it definitely is a different feel from the first three, but still very well done! As an easy breezy read its fantastic and I love how I was able to connect with a "seasoned" romance despite being nowhere CLOSE to Maggie's age! I wasn't a big fan of how it was organized and thought that some things could definitely be elaborated on, but I understand that's how the story needed to be told to move both plot lines (younger and older Maggie). It could also be that I was too eager for answers to questions before Howe had a chance to answer them! Otherwise?! Great read, I even caught myself laughing out loud at some of the quips between the characters. All in all, a nice addition to the Tales Behind the Veils with the return of my favorite characters, and introducing a couple great new ones!

Maggie's story
After reading the first three books in this series, it was a wonderful addition to read Maggie's story. The book captured Maggie's choices she made as a teen, the choices she made through her children's upbringing, and her ability to finally face those choices, forgive herself and embrace love.
