Works exactly like OEM
It takes a while to really analyze the maintenance cartridge, as you can't really force your printer to utilize it on a whim. It will usually do it during self cleaning.I have a Canon ImagePROgraf 4000 and inserting it was no different than the OEM part. The machine seemed to accept it.I have to wait a while for my machine to work long enough to include the cartridge in it's cycles so I will update if there are any issues. Otherwise it works well enough for now.

The new maintenance cartridge was faulty.
The printer said it was already full and to put another one in. I replaced it with my old maintenance cartridge and it has allowed me to keep printing until this morning.

do not buy
This is not a canon cartridge and it will not work in my Canon Prograf 4000....complete waste of time and money....
