I purchased the 5” diameter hose. The hose is nothing to write home about. It’s as sturdy as any of the other A/C hoses. It fit into the hose adapter on the back of my A/C unit very well. It was a little tight, but hey, I’d rather that than having to worry about a gap for the hot air to escape. But what I really like are the window brackets! These things are solid. It comes with two extenders to fit most window sizes. The bracket is truly adjustible in that you can tighten it and loosen it to fit perfectly, unlike some where you have to place pins in the holes and hope for the best.My only complaint would be that the hose adapter for the window bracket isn’t as snug as I’d like it to be. Perhaps that’s why they sent a roll of clear tape with the kit. I’ll probably substitute aluminum tape for this since it will tolerate the heat a little better and not melt.Overall, very happy with it and I’d buy it again.

I bought this to use for venting my 3d printer enclosure. I was originally going to buy some ducting and wood to make my own vent but when I saw this it was actually cheaper and nicer looking at the window end. I printed up some adapters to use on the enclosure side. My only concern is the longevity of the flex duct. I can see stress lines (white lines where the plastic bends at the convolutions) on the duct that I don't see on the ducts on my portable ac unit. Time will tell if it lasts. The window side plate barely covers my 48" wide window.

Works great no issues fit good ac is now running great!

Easily to install

Doesn't provide any instructions. Doesn't fit all windows, especially windows with deep ledge. Also doesn't fit Haier air conditioners with 5.1 inch hose diameter. Don't recommend.

Compared to the original that hose replaced it is hot. It seems as though more heat radiates back in the room through from hose than what is sent outside.

I really like this kit! The hose is 5.9, same as indicated on my original AC manual. There are no instructions and I'm not so "handy"; so it took several minutes to figure out how to install the wingnuts, but I was able to figure it out. One suggestion, rather than use the sealing tape that came with the kit, I used silver aluminum, waterproof and heat resistant tape brand DoHome Duct Tape (also on Amazon, two rolls come with it and it has paper backing so it's really easy to peel off and cut to fit. It shapes around any gaps for a tight seal.) The hose screwed right into the adapter at the back of my unit and stays put with no problems. I only had to use one extension and two wingnuts for my vertical sliding window. I'm so glad I ordered this! Now I can sleep in my bedroom again! :)
