Nice grip and pretty
I wound up taping up my handlebars myself. I will say that I really wish it had come with another 6+ inches of tape as it would have made it a little easier. Instead I spent over an hour making sure each overlap was just right so that it would extend as far as it needed to. But that is a very small nitpick.I personally love the way the red Lizard Skins DSP Bar Tape looks on my bike. While my bike is not even six months old, it looks so much better than the tape the bike store put on it. This tape is very cushiony and grippy. I took it out on a 23 mile ride yesterday after putting the new tape on. It performed great! In fact I swear that I felt less vibration in the handlebars due to this higher end tape. Now, that could just be "buyer's excitement." So, I'll report back down the road if my opinion changes.

Worth the price premium
In cycling, White is the new Black right now. White bikes, white saddles, white stems, and even white handlebars covered in (and completely obscured by) white tape. My new mountain bike - designed to spend most of its life in the dirt - is painted white. Obviously there are problems with this trend. Within 6 months of getting my road bike, the white tape it came with was starting to yellow and deteriorate. I had seen a positive review online of the DSP bar tape and a local shop also recommended it as well, so I decided to give it a try.I have only been using the tape for two months, but at this point I couldn't be happier with the product. In fact, I just ordered more to put on my cyclocross bike. The extra thickness of the DSP tape helps make rough roads more pleasant. Also, the synthetic material remains easy to grip even with damp or sweaty gloves. I can't tell much about durability at this point, but I suspect the extra thickness will lead to a longer life for this bar tape as well. Also, for those of you that are into the trend of everything white, I am told by the bike shop that the synthetic material in the DSP tape stays white longer than most of the other stuff on the market.

Product “performed” as expected. The securing straps are tricky to install and works best on smaller pipes.

Best bar wrap there is
Once you start using this no other bar wrap will compare. It's typically about 5-10 more than any other wrap, but well worth it. It's so nice a cushy. Also, even though the package says you can't... You can un-wrap and re-wrap your bars over and over with this stuff in case you want to move your hoods or something. also it seems like the more you sweat the better this stuff works. I ride with out gloves and never have a problem with slippage on this wrap. I promise you'll like it.

The only downside to this tape is that it doesn't last long. I usually have to rewrap my bars every six months. However, I do ride my bike year round and put a lot of miles on it.This tape is grippy as it gets, even when it's wet. I recently tried another brand because I was fed up with the backing separating from the tape on this brand - but, when the other brand wears out ... it's back to lizard skin for me.Some bits of wisdom that I've found. The directions say not to stretch it ... but that's ludicrous. You have to stretch it a bit. Just be carefully that you're not really torquing on it too much. Also, if it starts to slip (it really does like to walk back on itself - especially where your bars bend) just do a quick rewrap job (I usually unwind it to where it's started to slip and wrap again from there). It typically gives me a few more months out of the tape if I maintain the wrap job. Also, if you are a daily rider - don't expect much more than 6 - 8 months of use.All that aside, you won't find a more comfortable bar tape than this. I guarantee it.

Great Tape but very short life expectancy........
I was really looking forward to this product based on the reviews but am disappointed overall. During installation they say not to pull the tape to tight or it will snap, however, the adhesive was very minimal making it hard to keep in place. After the first ride I noticed it sliding around the front of the handlebar drops far enough to start exposing the bars. Re-wrapped and same results until adding some double sided tape just in that area. The overall appearance, cushioning and tackiness was great even when wet. My major disappointment was the visible wear after a partial season of around 800 miles (see pictures). Note: I have too much invested in my bike and take extreme care so the wear is from my hands/LG gloves. For this being one of the most expensive tapes on the market this is unacceptable. Based on my experience I would not purchase or recommend this tape.

Old tape - no adhesive
I was very excited to get this bar tape. The texture is great, and looks nice enough. However as I was installing it I notice the adhesive was completely inexistent. As i 'taped' the skins under the hoods, as soon as i let go, it feel on the floor. I had to keep pressing until i was able to pass the tape on top. However as I was trying to secure the skins with electric tape, all of it came undone since non of the adhesive works anymore. I am guessing they sent me very old tape or they just have issues with the glue they use. Very disappointed for a bar tape this expensive.I would recommend getting a cheaper tape and save your money
